Known Issues
1. Tinnitus volume slider doesn't work when Soundproof Walls is enabled.
Until this is fixed you can use Soundproof Walls to adjust the volume instead by including "tinnitus" in the Sound Volume Multiplier text box in Soundproof Settings.

It seems like with LUA installed, the sonar doesn't do any damage but the very loud sonar sounds still play in the ballast tanks

@CrazyCreation1 - That feature requires client-side and server-side Lua to be installed. Ensure the server has the Lua package enabled when hosting and that you have installed Lua correctly, as shown in the video.

after the update to the current version real sonar wont work on my dedicated linux server. If i host via ingame the mod works well. Any tips?

@Waffelparty - I'm not sure. The mod was basically unchanged for 1.0, so that sounds like a Barotrauma problem.
Could you clarify what you mean by Real Sonar not working? Is it a specific feature that isn't working or something more?

the whole mod wont work on my dedicated server. That is strange. I use the same mods locally and everything works but not on my server. If you need anything let me know.

There's a smaller version of the Navigation Terminal (the shuttle variant with the seat) that is not currently affected by the mod. A custom sub I'm using uses that terminal instead of the usual one so it doesn't get the new HUD and doesn't produce the lethal sonar. On the other hand it has sonar monitors of the flat screen variety that do, however these do not have ship control.

The sub does not use modded parts, afaik. (Unoculus)
An oversight maybe?

@Delta the Protoderg - It's not an oversight. We plan to give shuttle terminals a custom overhaul with their own UI, sounds, and damage.

I use a custom submarine but it uses the original terminal for the sonar dont worry. The funny part is, that all my mods are working if i host with steam. Same mods, same order, same savegame. Only my dedicated server wont load Combat Overhaul and Real Sonar. But both are working fine locally and they worked till update 1.0

@Waffelparty - Is there an error message? Unfortunately, it sounds like an issue on you or Barotrauma's end, meaning there's nothing we can do. You'll probably need to do some rigorous testing and reinstalling.
Let me know if you figure anything out.

Strange thing, in multiplayer, when I'm hosting (I simply tested to look how it would go) - whenever the sonar is enabled the framerate experiences a drop.
It specifically happens with each ping of sonar.
What more can I gather to pin-point the issue?

@One ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hammer - Some mods can cause performance drops when combined with Real Sonar; COR is an extreme example of this. If you don't have any other mods enabled, it's likely a hardware or settings issue. Someone had a similar problem and resolved it by turning off vsync.
How many frames are lost in these drops? And if you don't mind, could you share your PC specs?

@Plag even after a fresh install i dont get any error messages. It wont load the mods. If you want to, i can give you my config and my server log. Maybe im missing something

Sorry for the late reply.
I've disabled the VSync - no dice.
The issue seems to be happening in my save that was transferred from single-player, so I wonder if it has to do anything with that.
The frame-rate drop lasts about 10 frames in 60 fps with each pulse.
Looking at the Steam overlay frame count it shows going from 60 to 55.
When I started a completely new campaign - issue disappeared.
Both cases are tested at the Mining station/Small colony.
Edit: I think it just became a non-issue.
I've departed from the station and sonar no longer dropped fps.
But just in case I'll leave the specs.

My mods are:

I used to experience massive framedrops but now it's only a few fps per ping or none at all, Is it map based?
