what a nice game, straight upgrade to the old good *the forest* with many new mechanics that we needed and reworked in better way old mechanics but what holds this game back is absolutely insane crashing problem, ive been able to play 1 single game after which during the loading of the terrain after starting the lobby it ALWAYS crashes at like 3/4 of the loading and nothing helped, lowering graphics, uninstalling game, running in dx11 or d3d11, updating graphics card, restarting pc, veryfing game files, closing all programs throught with and without task manager, meeting the system requirements NOTHING HELPS just an insane problem which makes the game from really good to straight up unplayable crap, im really upset because of the fact that it just doesnt work and i really hope devs can fix it cuz i really enjoyed my 1st game in it and i wish it starts working again.

(EDIT) after some time ive found a discussion which just said *change to lowest resolution in game and after the game loads change back) and it worked, wow im surprised that worked so if ur viewing this and had same issue as me try to change resolution in game to lowest setting and after loading inside the world change back

(EDIT NEXT DAY AFTER LAST EDIT) the method with changing resolution doesnt help anymore, the game crashes even while using that method.

(after a few days edit) while i needed to free up more space on my disk C cuz for some reason having 80 gb on disk D where the game was downloaded and needed 14gb for update i freed up space for disk C and after that Sons of the forest didnt crash, not even once yet so im pretty sure you need atleast like 8gb of free space on disk C no matter even if the game is on disk D wth 100 gb of free space.

its literaly unplayable. Yes it does give more frames but at cost of ALOT of input lag like its just not playable ive set to the lowest settings that would produce the lowest ammount of input lag and frames and i had to watch many guides and discussions about it and putting the MOST OPTIMAL SETTINGS to make input lag situation ATLEAST bearable but its just terrible, not worth it at all the feeling after doing all of that setup is that your mouse and aim (if in some kind of shooter) will move after like 0.5 seconds or around that and thats after a many guides, discussions, and videos before i did those it was much worse, the only use for this i imagine is filming some footage while standing still which is close to literaly useless, i might be wrong but i tested this app on helldivers 2 and played a few games with different settings but it all comes to TOO MUCH INPUT LAG, if someone has a solution then please tell me cuz i really need those 40 fps cuz my game runs at 30 fps in the calmest periods of time without looking at many effects while its usualy 17-25 fps. Pls help im dyin :(

Story mode is good, online missions are also cool BUT online sessions are literaly UNPLAYABLE every single gta online lobby has ATLEAST in a server of 5 people ATLEAST if you get LUCKY ATLEAST 1-2 cheaters with god modes and ability to crash your game forcing you to restart your computer since the game locks you in and task manager window cant be opened meanwhile in a big lobby of 20 ATLEAST 2-4 cheaters will be present while usualy its half the server that uses cheats, the experience is just TERRIBLE its UNPLAYABLE and the game either has no anti cheat and moderation or very little but i doubt even that. Rockstar you have let us all down, all of us but actualy nice work since around 60% or more of online players use cheats you are not letting them down and allow them to ruin the game for normal player base, keep up the good work on letting those cheaters ruin the game. Rockstar let us down dont forget that.

what is this crap with headbutts in this game, this is literaly dumb how people can just spam the same button for headbutt and deal insane damage without even trying by just clicking one single button over and over plus the game has a customization with HATS that literaly just BOOST your headbutt damage, they just give it more power for some reason and THATS NOT FUN TO PLAY AGAIST and NOT FAIR to play agaist those people either, its impossible to enjoy gameplay with people who just do it and they are TOO COMMON so you cannot avoid it, #nerfheadbutt

The game is very cool and amazing! graphics and gameplay are pretty cool but BUT there is one problem once the battlefield series got purchased by "EA" it became literaly hell, you will meet cheaters every second game atleast one of them also because of new "EA" i have to use the "EA App" that is just awful the game is not working whatever it crushes, then if you try to reinstal the game you might get a message "you dont have enought disk space" even if you have around 40 GB of space on the disk u downloaded the "EA App" and the game. When the game was by management of "Origin" it was amazing! Now "EA" have ruined it.
