"An iso 8601 date and time format is arranged such that the greatest term usually a year is placed at the right, and each less term is placed on the right of the previous term. I.e. dates and times are ordered from the largest to the smallest unit of time. year, month (or week), day, hour, minute, second, and fraction of second.
The ISO 8601 date format consists of a four-digit year, followed by a two-digit month, and then a two-digit day."
