Gamer. Game hoarder. Grandfather.

Got into gaming back in the magical year of 1984 and never let go. Probably never will.

I play almost almost all types of games on almost all systems, but rarely play multiplayer or stressful and very difficult games anymore.
If I do play online it is usually in co-op and most likely with family or close friends.

I'm open to friend requests, but I go through every single one before accepting. Profiles being set to private, being low leveled or have bans or such may be refused unless I know exactly who you are. Don't ask for stuff or spam my profile with foolishness. That will definitely get you ousted off the list and more than likely blocked.

If you received a friend request from me it is most likely that I have read one or more of your reviews, and liked it, or have found common interests when checking out your profile.

In both cases, please know that I am not actively commenting on profiles and usually keep to myself. However, I'm always open for questions and communications if you ask for it. Just keep it civil.

Next to gaming I have a big interest in music. Even though I listen to most things, it is safe to say that I am a metalhead. Particularly progressive-, power-, symphonic- and classic metal. I also love most types of sports. My teams are Chelsea FC (soccer/football), New Orleans Saints (American Football), Minnesota Wild (Hockey), Houston Astros (Baseball) and Florida Gators (College Football).

Also, I share this steam account with my wife (I'm not the one who has sunk in 2000 hrs in Coloring Pixels :spazdunno:)

***Life's too short and my backlog is too long***

Happy gaming :o)

Loaded case, loaded guns and loading screens.

In many ways this is an excellent game with an intriguing story, great characters and fantastic artwork. It's unfortunately held back a little by a lot of black loading screens, some minor bugs and lack of control of when the story should move forward. If you, like me, are an old school gamer that have been playing games back when you had to change disks half a million times between each scene, this should only pose a minor issue. But I could easily see people getting annoyed by it.

The detective noir story is very well done. I have no experience with the comic books this game is based on, and how close it is to that, but it really made me want to dive further into this universe. The story benefits from the great characters you meet in the game, and is furthermore helped by a great cast of voice actors. I am a sucker for anything detective/noir/mystery stuff so this game really ticked off a lot of boxes for me personally. Some people might find it a little slow.

I've played most of Pendulo's games and have enjoyed most of them, and I certainly enjoyed this one, even though I feel they are moving a little bit off their typical format of games. I really liked the deduction system which seems hugely inspired by certain Sherlock Holmes games. However, I did not care for the timed conversations or the automatic progression when you interacted with certain objects. There are collectibles in the game, but they are hard to complete unless you focus only on those hot spots before interacting with anything else. Some scenes are even timed making the collecting even more difficult. The movement is also quite clunky and it can be difficult to make hot spots appear unless you stand in an exact spot facing an exact direction. However, I do not play a game like this for collectibles.

I think my biggest issue with the game was the amount of black loading screens. Even between short cut-scenes. This made the game feel much slower than it needed, and one would think this could be optimized a bit better. I also encountered a few bugs/glitches like totally black screens and such, but nothing major.

If you're into point & click adventure games, and especially detective mysteries and such, you will probably enjoy this game. More for story than for the actual gameplay maybe, but it has its fair share of exciting parts too. Sometimes with QTE's, but not in a very imposing way. They also seem to fit in nicely in this type of game.

I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough despite the issues mentioned, and I would easily recommend the game for any fans of Point & Click/Adventure/Visual Novel type games and even more so if you are into these type of noir stories.

For me personally, I'd rate the game an 8 out of 10.

My opinion is subjective and your view might differ from mine, so if you are uncertain about getting the game, make sure to read several reviews before making up your mind.

Happy Gaming

Thank you for the friend request!

I have been gaming a little bit longer. My gamer father put an Atari controller in my hands at the age of 3 somewhere around 1979/1980 and the rest is history, as they say. lol

I also listen to all music but definitely will always be a metal head!! :OTTTD_Rockon:

I have used several different types of consoles but switched to fully PC back probably about 10 years ago, although I was on Steam a coupla years before that. I like that I can have a large virtual library not taking up physical space!! lol

Happy gaming to the both of you (not sure which one sent the invite) and glad to meet you. Sláinte is táinte!! :clover::RainFir::RainSec::steamhappy:
