CS:GO Review
A worthy successor to the Counter-Strike series.

Good:
1. Matchmaking is improved and finding games is fast.
2. Maps are updated to make gameplay more balanced and interesting for both Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists by providing more entry/positioning points.
3. Graphics are realistically excellent - crisp and clear; more detailed, yet not increasing clutter.
4. Weapons are balanced and varied enough. Most guns are viable with respect to their cost-to-effectiveness ratio. Molotovs provide depth to holding positions or flushing out enemies while Smokes are better implemented.
5. Gameplay is fast, responsive and intense. If you have played any variants of Counter-Strike before, this is the same, except with better polished mechanics and detail. If you are new, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a great entry to the series and arguably the definitive First-Person Tactical Shooter for the year 2012, 2013, 2014 and possibly longer, depending on the community and developer support for it.

Bad:
1. For Ranked Matchmaking, there is the occasional chance of encountering cheater with aimbots, aim assist, wallhacks etc. They aren't everywhere, but common enough to be frustrating. (About 1 out of 20 games). The Overwatch system designed to ban these cheaters is somewhat effective only.
2. High skill learning cliff and newcomers will need to learn the recoil patterns of guns alongside the movement mechanics with no in-game help/tutorials. Spend some time mastering these or the game will not be fun.
3. While official game modes are well-supported, custom games are only possible on servers or require distinct knowledge and usage of the console commands. Finding these servers and the console commands to do so require a lot of reading up on the internet.
4. There are a lot of settings for the game, video and audio that are inaccessible in-game, they can only be accessed via console commands. Players need to read up and learn them on the internet.
