I've just got round to playing this for the first time in 2024 (at time of review) and this is really quite awesome, to be honest.

The game is quite easy on normal but I really like the power fantasy - chain assassination kills, 1 shot head-shots with the bow and the old faithful dodge slash, dodge slash melee tactic, yet it is still rather satisfying and there are some tougher opponents.

Progression with the right perk upgrades is fast, easy and satisfying - most side quests and treasure hunts, animal kills etc do not feel like a chore and are fast and easy XP. The graphics are good, sound and music are good, the puzzles and papyrus clues aren't too difficult or time consuming - which I appreciate. The story's kinda aight I suppose - minor spoiler alert! it's a classic revenge plot.

At time of review, I'm about 25 hours in (after idling for cards), and I'm level 29, I've got the gift from the gods weaps and I've assassinated the Crocodile.

Over-all it's a great title well worth your time.
