This is not as good a screensaver as the vastly expanded sequel, Everything. That one only needs human intervention because it crashes, not by design.

Every few days some amusingly-named disaster will kill your mountain, leaving a blank screen with static text on it until you reset - unless you are there to [SPOILERS] during the critical seconds, and if you mute the app's sound - it has no proper volume controls - that's much harder to notice.

Mountain is good for meditation and as a casual toy and puzzlebox, although its workings seem pretty completely laid bare in Steam Guides at this point, and it punishes experimentation as much as rewards it.

A flawed classic that will be remembered for style and vision more than actual gameplay.

The achievements are challenging to 100% without a walkthru and a lot of time.

I don't quite know how to explain this... game, except that it will eat your time and money in return for tantalising tales if you let it, like some made-for-mobile geisha.

You are cast as some ashen-haired Interdimensional Traveller who will proceed to kill thousands or millions of creatures because they're In His Way. Various voices and enigmas encourage, order or question this behaviour. His "companion" is a sassy fairy that he says he doesn't trust. One of his first comments to her is, "put some clothes on." There are options later to modify this decision.

Fond memories of at least one Squeenix game are the basic entry requirement, some people who only played a Kingdom Hearts might sneak in but wouldn't get the full emotional impact from being ordered to slaughter Moogles and Chocobos.

This is fanservice and a turn-based card-based strategy game. It's also Twink Boy & Goth Girl Dress-Up Simulator and a stylised murder ballet, and some other things. On a good day, there's quality banter.

I have played it once or twice and reckon it's quite well-done for Free Software. It's more-ish like a snack food and keeps being updated with more voiced story content as well as cards, monsters, systems and features.

It looks like it plays itself but gets brutal in some late stages and the high-tier multiplayer.

Oh, it's a co-op turn based multiplayer game with about a 30 sec timer per move, also. And optionally.

As far as I've seen, nothing is paygated except time to acquire & convenience - there are no money-only items. This version gives enough daily + bonus Magicite to comfortably buy a Boost Box every month while expanding card slots. There are some money-gated perks and paying players will always have an advantage in terms of the single-player league table, but in multi-player all loot is split equally so the worst that happens is someone comes in with the latest Reddit-approved bling and wipes a high-level boss in 2 rounds for you.

Fun times - saw some familiar characters from many Final Fantasies - updates often - as of end 2017 this gets 2 thumbs up.

Still one of the best, quirkiest music/rhythm games ever made - and by the legend/team who went on to develop Rez, now finally available on PC as Rez Infinite.

Space Channel 5 (Part Two)tm remains magically potent and fresh.

That its gameplay hasn't been cloned to the point of becoming a genre is something of a mystery, but imitators could probably never top the mix of music, art and writing that leads to cult status.

There's another, hidden-in-plain-sight level of gameplay right in front of you from the start (like The Witness), it has the short playtime, beauty, emotional rollercoaster and Flow state of a Journey or Abzu, the visuals are all cued to the music like an Amiga demo and it's bonkers in a way that only Japanese developers seem to know how (no ♥♥♥♥).

It's a mashup of the quirkiest musicals in terms of plot, structure and variety - if Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror Show and Michael Jackson had teamed to do a Sci-Fi themed stadium tour in the 90s this would be it.

And to anyone who's experienced the thrill of playing it, the phrase "chu! chu! hey!" will always bring a smile.

(Video of actual gameplay on my profile, don't how to embed.)

Short, indescribable, lush, empowering, lovely.

If you understand why random llamas, double rainbows and laser eyed kittens all dancing to a hot jam mix you create in realtime is an experience worth savouring, dive in.

It is smol/short, with little hope of expansion or modding but it also saves to disk whatever psychedelic semi-autonomous musical doolings you co-create, which you can upload for posterity, and for the price of a coffee or cheeseburger it is hardly fair to complain that it only lasted a few hours.

If you end up not just mclovin it but craving more, search out the Digital Dynamite coalition online. Their free apps such as "Wir Sind Einstein" are non-interactive but on a level.

Great pixel art, deceptively simple trance-forming gameplay, impossible achievements, satire, and the terror of helplessness if you get overconfident. I found the original Kingdom winnable but this expanded version is 2spoopy5me and should last you a while

There's a little bit more to it, but this is also the greatest screensaver ever made.

Infinite procedural race-tracks made from your music.

Claim songs forever! Like No Man's Sky but with cars instead of hype.

Two driving modes, one with pedals for gas and brakes and another that is on rails like Fable: The Journey.

First person mode enabled to feel the G Forces!

A psychedelic rollercoaster. It could use more track graphics and colour combos as feels quite samey after a while - each song's track may be different, but they all look quite similar.

If the framerate doesn't kill you, the gameplay might.

Early Access Review
This game is hard to play because it does not explain things well. There are supposed to be seven sets of levels on a little globe but only the first two are done. Yesterday the second set cost extra money, which was to pay for making the third set but today that feature was removed.

When you start a battle it makes a new window and you can alt-tab between them but the controls for this are not explained. You also have to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and stop two applications and a third extra process when it crashes. The little battles need more than a Gigabyte of memory, like in Populus. Multiplayer does not work yet because the game does not cost enough money.

You can type a code in game to make all of the people be called Peter Molyneux and then you can rain fire on them and they will all sing a song about how it's raining. This code is the one found on your Mom's credit card, plus three secret digits which are hidden on the back. You should type these numbers right when it says "I always imagined making 22 games instead of none."

Verdict: Off the rails!
