Nuclear Throne is the perfect mix of classic games like Robotron 2084 and Literal Weapons of Mass Destruction (Everything from Katanas to a Nuke Launcher). And it's incredible.

Nuclear Throne has been one of those games that I've played when I have a few minutes to spare, and on rare occasions that I've grinded for hours at a time. The gameplay is crisp, responsive, and FAST. You will die an innumerable amount of times to the most random crap, and eventually you'll view it as your fault and something that you could've done better. The art is fantastic, and the music is even better. You might stop playing and feel frustrated, but you'll find yourself coming back to the same grueling punishment time and again, waiting for that perfect run that makes it all worth it. You might not play it as much as some of us have, but it's a fantastic game that's worth playing. The only criticism I'd give are about the achievements, which are kinda difficult and tedious (I'm looking at you, 'Ultra Mutant'). I've been playing this game since Early Access in 2014 I think, and I still play it to this day. This game has outlived multiple computer setups and is still a regular stop when I have some time, even now. For a game to be that special and be worth coming back to, even if it's just for a run or two, is rare these days, and I couldn't be happier being a supporter of what it's become over the years.
