Cant Believe they are still updating this game. Great features, quite unique roguelike. Absolutely worth it

Meh, not very innovative or fun as medieval 2 or shogun 2, the building system is lacking ( i hate building slots )
population system also lacking

All things aside, the historical research and bronze age immersion is top notch

Doesn't matter how many times i come back to this game, everytime i say "let me give Eco one more chance", its worse than the previous time i played.
Where do i even begin? The feeling of the controls, is... off. It's not nearly as pleasant to play as a proper crafting game ( Valheim is a good example ). The movements are stiff and the interactions with the world and animals seem to belong to an alpha stage game.
Everytime i log in to test a new update, i realize the game is LESS fun than it used to be. The artificial resource sinks ( making every single interaction and crafting recipe more costly ) ONLY GETS WORSE, AND WORSE. Even when playing with solo settings or with 2 players, its massively boring and grindy to do absolutely anything in the mid to upper tier recipes, and every update, they manage to make it even worse and nonsensical for the sake of... balance? slowing progress? it doesnt even make sense. I have no idea what these devs have in mind but it seems to be to make this game as least fun and engaging as humanly possible in the long run. I am tire of giving ECO chances.
Oh yeah. not to mention the hideous customizable avatars recently implemented. IF they were to be this ugly and yellowish goblin/corpse-looking things, youd better kept the default ones, really.
Sure, they FINALLY added boats in a recent update, sure, the eating animations are neat. The game is still incredibly grindy and monotonous, its not even pleasant to build structures which is the main point. PRetty much everything about ECO sucks and the developers made sure it stayed that way by taking possibly the worst decisions to appeal to a certain "vision" of game design which eludes me.

These prices, with this kind of mediocrity in game balance and immersion, is a far, far cry from older total war titles

Overall, great game, OOZING style and gameplay satisfaction.
One small issue:
COOP IS GARBAGE. It doesnt even save the progress of the other players aside from the host. A friend of mine played for 3 hours just to go back to single player and realize he was just where he started.

I will leave this review a negative, until they fix the CO-OP system.
I hope the devs fix this, otherwise i wont be recommending this game to anyone

Game performance is simply TERRIBLE. In later stages starts chugging up memory and performance to the point its nearly unplayable, then crashes, even when lowering graphics quality
