Finished the Campaign on legendary on the 2nd day it came out. Overall, I love the campaign and didn't feel all that bored pushing through. They played it safe with the soft reboot. They ignored a lot of halo 5 and halo wars 2 details outright. They did a 6 month time skip so we don't see anything cool honestly happen.

((FREAK whoever thought giving brute cheiftians/bosses the ability to mega 100% auto hit with the hammer. That was the causes of most my death on my play-through easily. Never felt any deaths were BS except that animation attack set. I wish death to the guy that made that 11/10))

I loved the story overall. The issues I have is that Cortana got beat so easily with so much power at her fingertips. That the endless is somehow worse than the flood themselves, the very precursors corrupted. Lastly, all the knowledge that Cortana had from the domain that led her to do what she did, will never be explored. We won't know why she turned or acted like the UR-Didact and Guilty. The ideas and theories are sadly washed away. She really didn't need to die in this way, there could have been so much better methods.

I could care less about the infinity, the damn ship was still smaller than a CSO super-carrier. Wasn't really that great of a ship compared to other "flag" ship classes. Glad it died honestly...

Bonus points on Atriox kicking chiefs azz. Most people think he should have won that 1v1 but no. If he had Cortana to help him fight then yes he would have pulled something off but overall this is a brute in basically the equivalent of spartan armor. I am shocked he even took 1 good hit and got back up in the first place. This is like giving Tartarus the armor and saying the Chief can fist fight him. No. Brutes are physically stronger and on top of the fact, this one is smart and battle harden with proper gear.

Overall the Campaign score is 8/10 with bias, 7/10 without bias. Halo 4 still had the best of the 3 IMO due to the dark setting, minus chief somehow beating the Ur-diadact [of all people] which was bs from the start but plot I guess...

10/10 for the actual feel of halo, the art, music, the lines from grunts, the combat, all felt perfect. They just need to buff the vehicles a bit, change the plasma pistol back, and add the rest of the line-ups and playlist. Also forge but ofc we must wait for that again.
