Bravely Default looks pretty good too. Gah too many games I have on backlog, and yet sooo many more i wanna get.

Planning on getting Tales of the Abyss myself at some point. Not sure when, just yet, though

I would recommend it mainly if you don't mind turn based battles, as well as if you don't mind the game having a bit of a learning curve. It's a fun game, in my opinion, but it can get pretty difficult sometimes, especially if you are unsure of what you are doing at some times, or if you get a bad turn, i.e. enemy crits whole team and kills everyone. It is, apparantly, widely agreed that IV is the easiest out of all of the games, so that helps. But yea, if you aren't really that into RPGs, especially turn based ones, it might not be your cup of tea. You could always try out the demo and see how you feel about it. I will say a lot of time can be invested in the game. I've got a lot of time in it as is.
