Minor spoilers I tried beating around the bush and avoiding direct spoilers but if you haven't completed the game be warned!

After just now finishing my first playthrough, I realized that I missed out on so much content despite how much I covered throughout 131 hours of gameplay. I tried to cover literally everything in act 1 and still managed to miss out on a large amount of stuff. I never even found Minthara or Minsc. Somehow I managed to completely skip Act 2 by just walking in one direction, then walking somewhere else, doing 2 big fights, then going that same direction (Which spoiler alert it killed 2 characters due to not tieing up somethings but I was already commited). I only played on Balanced and there was only a handful of times I had to have F8 ready because of some harder/honkywonky fights. It's pretty good, ending had me sad (Romanced Shadowheart and went on with her instead of Karlach, therefore triggering a specific event). I'm actually attatched to these characters and want the best outcomes to each interaction. Not a lot of games have me feeling this way anymore. The gameplay is super satisfying, the sounds are great, and unless they make the game unplayable you feel ever so powerful. The game is also pretty funny honestly, I tried to get a dude off of a windmill blade and I read "Release Brake Lever" as in "Hey hit this to activate the brake lever, it's 3am so who cares!" and flung the guy to Brazil. Some of the rude comments you can make to people are comedy gold, and if you spend some time playing around with barrels you can do some wild things with them. I had a couple times where I just didn't look at the big picture and would click on something and trigger traps and blow my entire party up or do a dialogue wrong and get ganged on and it was actually pretty funny. Rarely I'd try something super out of pocket and it would work and give me a good goblin cackle.

There's some minor issues I've had with the game as some completely unfair/unfun engagements and a few times none of the dialogue options seemed to fit what I would have wanted to do (Chaotic Good kind of playthrough). I did have some bugs that plagued my game as well, characters not following my Avatar, having killed them and casting revivify or knocking them off ledges/making them jump to no help, so I'd have to reload my last save that they weren't doing that in. Another obnoxious bug was some crashes in specific parts of the game/bartering to shops, it only just recently got fixed.

Example on unfair/unfun imo: (Minor Spoiler) there's a dude in Act 3 that can cast power word kill at character level 9-11 which makes literally no sense as in 5E 9th level spells are only unlocked at the minimal at level 17, and this enemy has unstoppable 5 and cannot get pushed/killed without spending attack actions or magic missle to pop the unstoppable. Also I just wish there was an option to go higher than level 12 both for playable characters and enemies such as a custom option in the future, I hit level 12 near the very start of act 3 and just steam rolled the heck out of every fight that wasn't extremely mind numbing or genuinely unfair to go up against as most enemies were level 8-10. If they can get ridiculous advantages at complete random to force me to quickload then at least make both of us a higher level to just get stupid with it, it's just a turn off when I can take out an entire cult in 2 rounds taking a fair amount of damage and then meet one guy that goes ha ha die and kills your entire party. (I get it's to be "balanced" as level 13+ is already hard to balance, but if you THROW HIGHER LEVEL THINGS AT US and lock us to level 12, it just feels like we're at the edge and then it says nuh uh uhhh). I'm just trying to chill, I'm getting straight sauced on in some engagements and some others I completely wipe the floor with them. If' I'm playing on balanced I feel like the game shouldn't be super teeter totty, sometimes it's relaxingly easy, sometimes it's a fair fight and can't whine; it was a genuinely good fight, and then sometimes it's unholy awful/hard to fight some encounters and I'm reloading 15 times in one fight.

Imo, Blood Hunter and Artificer would be insane to add to the game, as well as Skulker, man, so many other feats, some more customization options for a DND+RPG like game, such as backgrounds, rolling for stats instead of point buy (I hear BG2 lets you do that, just let us have more fun), but that's just me, and I'm an extremely casual player that wants to power creep into the whackiest engagements. I just want the option to actually try with point buy, level 12 cap, etc, and then I want the option in an entirely different playthrough to turn my brain off and be level 20 with great stats. Overall despite the womp womp boo hoo's, worth every dollar spent, it got 130+ hours out of me and I genuinely think it's a great game and I'm going in for a second playthrough now, some minor things bug me but it's not the end of the world.
