Styx Master of Shadows is a "Hidden" Masterpiece

_Stealth
Styx MoS is a real hard core stealth game that gives you an amazing toolbelt of ways you can stay hidden like crouching, clones, invisibility, pocket sand, cover of darkness, interactive envirement and movement mechanics like taking cover, hanging on ledges, carying bodies. In this game turning on the highiest dificulty trully makes the game more fun insted of just making it frustrating. After every mission you get awarded xp for side goals, not getting deteced, compleating the level within time limit, and not killing anyone, collecting all collectables.

_Level Design
Every area in Styx MoS is a vast playground with trully vertical design containing interactable envirement elements such as torches that can be extinquished, chests and closets to hide in or and chandaleers and crates that can be dropped on someone or to draw someones attention.

_Combat
Like any great stealth game it has hard and deadly combat (deadly for styx) focused on reaction based parrying enemy attacks for an oportunity to strike, you trully cant spam attack your way out of problems even on lowest dificulty.

_Enemy Design
Styx MoS doesnt provide that many enemy types but each of them is worth remembering like librarians who cant fight but can scream, normal guards who carry throwing knifes, crossbowman with deadly bolts, heavy armored guards who cant be killed by normal means, blind but sensitive to sound roabies, elves who sense you when youre close, and orcs that serve as gigant death zones.

_AI Design
Enemies have 3 stages of detection: yellow where they are spooked, orange where they go to "check it out", and red where they notice you and want to murder you. Very suspicious guards draw weapons and from that point on they detect you much faster. Guards call there comrades to "check it out" with them and call them to arms when they notice someone. Guards never eat food if they see someone dying to poisoning after eating it.

_Story
The story told in Styx MoS is trully incredible and belivable the only thing i can tell you wihtout it being a spoiler is that you play as Styx a goblin trying to infiltrate the Tower of Akenash a gigant floating fortress. His Goal is to steal the heart of the World Tree located in the center of the tower. The World Tree produces amber a substance that gives Styx his magical abilities, is a center of elfes culture, and is used by humans like a drug.

_Music
I have never heard better music in a video game than in Styx MoS it gives climate and makes you immersed in the corridors and rooms you are exploring

_Art Style
The characters faces and environment are covered in low quality graphics but the lighting and art direction of Styx MoS takes gives that low quality art a new life and makes it look beautiful

_Guards Chatter
A lot of the times you can hear guards talking about there daily life and the events that are going on in the Tower of Akenash. Thouse dialogues make the Tower of Akenash feel like a real place despite being an impossible tower.
