I'm not entirely sure why I bought theHunter Call of the Wild but it instantly hooked me and I started to explore the big, rich and beautiful hunting reserves that the game offers. I started hunting some deer and immersed myself into the world of theHunter Call of the Wild to the point that a couple of hours went by without me even realizing it.

The two standard hunting reserves and a few of the DLC ones have a story that the player can follow if they feel like it. It's not a must and you can technically roam freely from the very beginning. I didn't really follow the story so I'm not sure how good the story arcs are and if they're worth finishing.

I bought a handful of the DLCs as well and I gotta say that this game is probably one of the best random purchases I've ever made - theHunter Call of the Wild itself is beautiful and if you enjoy hunting games you probably should buy it, especially when it's on sale.

If you're a Screen Archer, hobby Virtual Photographer or just like to take screenshots in general, this game is a gold mine. Also, this game has a pretty good soundtrack that is super relaxing and atmospheric.

UnderMine is a pretty underrated action roguelite that has a lot of charm.

It's definitively worth your money if you enjoy playing action roguelites. The progression system is somewhat unique-ish since your progression is bound to the gold which you collect during the runs. If you die, you a lose a bunch of it though & you play as a new character after every death which is pretty neat as well.

Oh, you can pet the dog by the way and that's all that matters.

Fallen Aces is a noir first-person shooter with immersive sim elements that also feels like a boomer shooter – which is currently (as of writing this review) in Early Access.

Story

The player jumps into the role of a detective called Mike who was supposed to uncover some plots but got dragged into a new predicament: Some gangsters are knocking on his door and want to kill him for reasons Mike isn’t aware of. It’s the players job to brawl and shoot through the hand drawn levels of Fallen Aces while discovering secrets and unveiling a plot that seems to get thicker and thicker.

Personal Note

I played the demo for a while and was instantly hooked despite me not being a big fan of boomer shooters or games that kind of fall into that genre but Fallen Aces just caught my attention with the charming hand drawn characters and objects as well as the gameplay. Now, the demo version was old and when I started playing the actual game, I realized how much the developers improved the game. The music, the combat, the vibe, the many possibilities to go through the levels – everything just fits and I’m excited to see where this game is going.

Fallen Aces is currently in Early Access (as of writing this review) which means that not everything is in the game as of now. If you buy the game now, you can play through Episode 1 out of 3 which contains five levels and roughly 4 to 8 hours of content (depending on your playstyle of course). The game offers replayability as well since you can either go full stealth or just punch everyone you see without caring about exploring and finding secrets.

The five different levels in Episode 1 differ in size but they’re all different with different side and main objectives and I’m sure that the upcoming two Episodes will continue this trend.

So, it’s a first-person shooter, right? Well yeah, kind of. There are guns and you usually find them relatively easy in every level but the main combat is either with fists or objects you find in the different levels. You can use objects that are laying around like garbage cans or try to sneak through every level without actually killing anyone.

This game feels like a classic gangster movie – the voice lines and the world itself fits to that. The music is on point. The cutscenes, that look like old comics, fit to the whole game as well.

Conclusion

Is Fallen Aces worth your money? I’d say it truly depends on if you like those type of games. If you do, then yes. If you’re doubtful, you could try it and refund it if you end up not liking it.

For me personally though, spending that 10€ was definitely worth it and I’m excited to see how the other Episodes will be.

If you ever wanted to be a great asset to a company that actually cares about you, you should get Lethal Company and spending 10€ on Lethal Company was one of the best decisions I've made.

If you have friends and plan on buying this game, you totally should. The non modded version of Lethal Company is decent but keep in mind that updates are coming in a bit slow because Lethal Company has only a single developer behind it, but on the flip side, every update that has come to Lethal Company was good and added some things here and there. Version 50 is the biggest update as of writing this review and added three moons, new entities and changed a few things on top of that.

If the vanilla version of Lethal Company isn't good enough for you, you should have a look at mods. There are an absurd amount of mods out there and you will certainly find something that you will like. There are mods that make the game more difficult or mods that add new entities and moons to the game or mods that push some quality of life improvements your way - there is a mod for everything; yes even for what you're probably thinking about.

It's a good game. Play it with friends or alone. Get mods. Squish hoarding bugs and enjoy the screaming from your friends after they discover what kind of mods you pushed onto them.

Also, buy the boombox and vibe to the music, its a banger.

The game is alright, it runs pretty good for an closed alpha. Two maps, a handful of characters - some of them are clearly too strong and need adjustments but there's still time. The art style is pretty cool. The destructible environment is neat and opens up possible flanking moves.

Some of the skins that are available in the closed alpha are pretty dope - the guys in the skin and art-style department need a rise asap!

The closed alpha is on US servers only, so as someone from Europe you will experience high pings and lag but it's not as bad as I thought would be. 140-160 ping is alright but it also depends on the character you play. Oh and the assist notification sounds like you're getting stabbed, so you low key get the London treatment.

The most annoying thing about the closed alpha is that the damage feedback isn't really there. You see that your HP goes down but there is no other feedback for that. The classic red screen would do wonders here.

I've played Battlebit Remastered for about four hours and I've seen more destruction than I've seen in Battlefield 2042 after 150 hours.

RimWorld is all about building up a nice little colony after crashing on a distant planet. The goal is to survive and advance far enough to be able to escape that strange planet you crash landed on.

RimWorld: The basic war crime simulator with a bit of colony sim attached to it.

Royalty DLC: It's all about committing war crimes while you build up your royal lineage - sounds like the UK innit?

Ideology DLC: Committing war crimes in a cult that thrives by brain washing people into your believes.

Biotech DLC: Committing war crimes with the addition of children - you can also modify genetics and build mechanoids to commit war crimes more efficently!

In all seriousness, I put like 85 hours into RimWorld so far and even the base game offers a lot of replayability. I haven't touched any mods yet but scrolling through the workshop page alone made me realize that there is a lot of stuff to mess around with.

I would recommend trying out the base version of RimWorld first before buying any DLCs or adding mods, since it's probably best to learn how the game works before adding a bunch of stuff that makes the game more complex or that makes changes to how the game works.

And no, giving prisoners some weed and booze before releasing them is not a crime - but shooting them in the back afterwards might be.
