Pay no mind to the negative reviews they are from angry, uncultured, frothing at the mouth Civilization players who are not accustomed to the sophisticated nuances of Humankind.

The game is a refreshing take on turn based strategy.

The combat is far better than any other 4x strategy out there.

Sophisticated nuances like the fact that the diplomacy system "is not really working as intended" and that the UI "does not clearly communicate player options, and it is something we are keenly aware of (but also sadly something we may not be able to address)"? Developer's words, not mine.
