QOL Update (more to come)

Happy holidays everyone, I hope you're all doing well. This is a major update, with lots to cover and multiple new systems to introduce. I have been working on these updates for quite a long time now, and I really hope that you all think they are positive improvements and that they improve your experience on the server. Without further ado, I present to you... the Quality of Life update!

A highly-requested feature, voice channels allow you to toggle between global and proximity chat, meaning you no longer have to hear people super far away! In a future update, I would like to add private channels and a more complex UI, but that may be quite a ways away.

A rework of the display where you can see who is talking. The display was made smaller and more compact, allowing more peoples' names to fit on the screen at once. Profile pictures still display. In addition, I would like to later add "tags" to the indicator, displaying whether the player's rank and their friend status.

Although not immediately apparent to most players, the entire restrictions system has been remade from the ground up. This means that now the staff can make balance changes as well as add and moderate new content being added with much more ease. This also means that new ranks are now much more easily added. You can check our discord (#announcements channel) for some GIFs of the new restrictions menu.

On many of our user interfaces we were using the pre-packaged assets known as icon16. These were easy to use as everyone had them, and thus increased the join speed of new players. I listened to your feedback and decided to remake many of our icons with a new, flat, modern theme that hopefully make our UIs look sleeker and more appealing. These updates include the buildmode/pvp icons, as well as various other menu optimizations.

In this update, many bugs and exploits were patched. I did not record a list of them as I made them, so I don't have a list to post here, but know that, (like always), there were many problems with my scripts.

The most likely update to proceed this will be that of loadouts. They are currently being worked on, and will hopefully provide a much better experience during PvP.
