A group for the Austroraptor underdogs of The Isle

Back in V2 before progression was added, players would CHOOSE to be Austoraptors. We knew full well the challenges that come with being such a small and weak dinosaur, but still we faced the hardship and had fun while we did it.

We looked to the water and saw no fish, we looked to the lakes and saw no scavenging, so in the face of this problem we banded together and using careful strategy and unmatched teamwork we kept ourselves well fed on the meat of rexes. We adapted to become predators when there was no other option.

Then when we were all fed and watered, we'd gather atop the temple and watch as the migrating herds passed by. We'd taunt the rexes and carnos below who to no avail tried to eat us. We'd lay close together on the pillars of safety and share stories of clever escapes and lucky victories.

We've been scattered since the update, but here maybe we can gather once again and repair our broken pack.

Shifting the theme

So this group is a bit small (more like a friend group) as austros get harder and more difficult to play. I found even though they are nice aesthetically, it would be hard to find a lot of people to join in order for us to have enough players willing to group up.

So that's why I am making a small change to this group. The name will stay the same however the group's main focus will change from Austroraptors to all smaller carnivores. By "smaller carnivores" this means Utahraptors, Baryonyx, and all tiers below it. In the future it will also focus on human-lovers who prefer to tame smaller carnivores, not limited to but mostly focusing on Mercenaries. Austroraptors will just be our "mascot." The group will also not only focus on The Isle, but games like ARK, Saurian, and Trials of Ascension. Saurian and Trials of Ascension have yet to come out, so for now that part will only be dedicated to supporting the development of these games.

A small reminder that there are no rules to being in this group that change how you're allowed to play. It's only for people who *like* smaller carnivores and dinosaurs in general, and want to meet other people who do also and possibly make it easier to create packs and hunting groups.

Hello guys! Just wanted to let you in on something kind of important to me, read or not at your own discretion.

So.. I'm probably not the only one noticing how The Isle is getting progressively worse, especially for Austroraptors. When I originally created this group my hope was to make raptors bounce back, become more aware, and overall increase their survivability. With the recent updates, and the increasing probability that fish aren't going to be added anytime soon, I've decided that we should perhaps begin to back a different game with more caring developers.

So I raise you Saurian. It is like The Isle, except it focuses more on player experience and balance. I found out about this game a couple months back and it expects to ship January 2017.

I highly request that those that can afford it should pre-order the game. You can do so here: https://saurian.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders It's cheaper than The Isle but much better in quality.

It uses Unity which offers a kind balance between graphics and performance, and also allows much coding freedom to the Devs so we can expect both better and more frequent updates.

I'm not asking you all to refund The Isle or stop playing it entirely, but I suggest you back out of your support to the devs until some real changes--in benefit to the actual playerbase--start happening. Until then, Saurian may tide you over. Steam Early access with pre-order is currently available as well as other rewards you can get from backing the game. I hope to see some of you there!
