Total War - Map Crafting

Shogun Crafters is public.

This group's purpose is to :
- create a map BANK where people can find mediafire links and information to download NEW custom maps.
- federate TW map creators, sharing ideas and testing each other's maps before their final release.
- help neophytes with the use of the TEd tool.
- advise members every time a new map is published so they can play it.

Hope you'll enjoy these home made maps and have good new experiences :)

The community pack downloaded is in .rar format, extract it in the /maps folder of Shogun 2, (NOT the Steam folder)

AppData is a hidden folder, make sure you can see hidden folders (press ALT in any folder, choose Tools, and Folder options, and tick the line to see hidden folders and files)

NB : NEVER open the map in the Total War TEd editor, or this map file might be compromised (if you save it) with the deployment_areas.xml, and you won't be able to play it. If u want to see how the map was edit, you'll have to delete it after and download it again if you want to play it.

TO PLAY these new costum maps in multiplayer, you have to do NOT TICK the "key-buildings" entry to find these maps. If you are the host, be aware that changing your army and vassals while other players are downloading it will resset the downloading and change map on Aki. SO, open slots after you have made your army, or make your army when all people have finished to download the map.
