"Fell in with gamergate, going to 8chan to get radicalized, and running afoul of the FBI" is a weird way to describe what he tried to do with a 9-year-old girl

His reactionary mindset caused him to fall in with gamergate. This folly lead to him to start frequenting 8chan, opening the door to further radicalization. Fast forward a few years and he ran afoul of the FBI.
