For recording gameplay:
I've tried Fraps, PlayClaw, and Dxtory. Out of the 3, I'd recommend Dxtory. It seems to have the least amount of impact on performance and offers the most options.

I use MeGUI for encoding. I don't do any editing, so this is the easiest way to prepare the videos for uploading.

Somehow found this group again from my bookmarks. I don't know if anyone'll see this post, but I'd like to remind everyone that LP2's 10th anniversary is really close, and there's a group from /v/ organizing a revival of sorts. We've been playing almost weekly coop/pvp for the past few months and so far it's been going well. If anyone would like to join, we organize through Discord https://discord.gg/dfQ7Pv
