You already tried to check the game files?
Try to uninstal and install again the game.

I'm getting this too - I've reinstalled the game and it still bugs out when you click ctrl. Character runs to the left, interface is glitched as though it's getting multiple key inputs. just bought the game.

same for windows
reinstalling wont solve that problem.

after contacting with the support team , the problem didnt solved yet (they couldnt help me in that case).
i hope that the bugs will fix soon :/

Could it be something like Windows'"sticky keys" having gotten enabled? https://www.howtogeek.com/739764/how-to-turn-off-sticky-keys-on-windows-10/

If not; maybe be sure to unplug a (possibly misbehaving) controller or racing wheel or alike that you may have connected, and/or see what happens if you disable or enable Steam Input for the game via library rightclick -> Properties -> Controller.
