It says no more cards to find, but i have collected none?

I've made it to level five. I've done several quests for this level but had to leave the game. I have in my inventory 1 metal heart and a request to do the blue lever minigame. When I click the metal heart it picks up and shows the hover image of where I have to put it (female robot) but clicking on the blue lever does nothing. I cannot find the last number ball. Hints lead nowhere, usually to the sky at the second level of the tower. (They can lead elsewhere in the beginning, but if I use hints multiple times in a row, at least by the third try it leads there.) I even can't restart the whole game, to either reproduce the bug or avoid it. (I tried to delete and then reinstall it.)...
