Just Good UI Mod

Description
5.3 compatible

The aim of the mod is to increase UI usability in late game (or just any game), when you have to manage many lords/heroes

What's changed
- A remake of lords/heros list in character details panel - portraits made bigger, embedded heroes extracted to separate list. Now it is possible to have army with 20 heroes without much pain of managing it.

- If auto manage mode enabled for char - reduces opacity for upgrade icon which appears on the portrait. Help you to see which lords/heros need SP assigning and which not

- Added checkbox to lords and heroes tab on the main screen, which if enabled - hides embedded heroes letting you to manage lords without much scrolling. How often do you need to see those heroes anyway, huh?

- Autoscrolling to selected char for those two mentioned lists. Surprisingly CA have such useful feature ready to use. Less scrolling - more playing.

- A checkbox on character details panel which let you to see only unequipped items/ancillaries now fixed. In all terms. Before it was like this - you enable it, then go to ancillaries - bam, the list still show equipped items. You have to disable enable checkbox again. Then every time the UI reset (which is quite often, after battle for example) you have to do this again. Finally, it should work as it should.

Update 11/12/2023:
Diplomacy attitude tooltip tweak - on lower resolutions a list of modifiers tend to go out of screen faster

Mod Configuration Tool options
- Remove character details background opacity (may conflict with other mods by default)
- Hide caravan lords of Cathay
- Few frame color options

Compatible with

- Hertz Province Patrols (it hides those armies along with embedded heroes when checkbox enabled)
- Unique Faction UI
- Less Red more Art
- Daniel Painter - Paint your Daemon Prince

- Army Carousel - game will crash if you try to use both

Is this mod MP compatible? I can't seem to get it to work with coop multiplayer.

"Undo assigned skill point" Bug was base game on heroes, not mod related. Good mod this.

noticed the "Undo assigned skill point" doesn't work. i dont know if its my mouse, but once in a while the left mouse button goes crazy spamming the skill point. might be more things going on here.

Did this stop working after the 5.2 patch? On my games it isn't, wondering if it's me or if it's the mod that needs to be updated?

Hi, do you mean somehow combine similar items or what?

My one request, with enormous gratitude, would be some way to collapse the ancillary list so you don't have to painfully scroll through. Thanks for the great mod either way!

Sure, that's understandable. I was looking into making it myself but I don't really have the necessary skills. The bonuses and maluses you get from control are hidden until you mouse over the bar, I think people would actually think about those more if the bonuses and maluses of your current level of control were visible in the main building UI that comes up when you click on a settlement. It's a mostly ignored mechanic, and I think a lot of that is due to poor information transparency from the vanilla UI.
