The player is present as a giant floating triangle above the screaming insane cannibals. Occasionally it descends and touches upon one or several, and they dance about like puppets on strings. NPCs look on in horror.

for the pawns the player is an omnipresent overlord that will occasionally override their bodies to perform certain tasks or to fight I doubt that the player would be present as a human for the colonists but instead an entity watching them and manipulating them.

I mean think about how horrible of a person the average Rimworld player is in a average run. So the kid is right to be afraid and the older man right that they need to man up.

Unseen in picture is the colony of insane cannibals lead by the player that is screaming about human leather socks and the flavor of human veal.
