Game Introduction
Clannad is a drama and romance visual novel in which the player assumes the role of Tomoya Okazaki. Most of its gameplay is spent on reading the story's narrative and dialogue. Clannad follows a branching plot line with multiple endings; depending on the decisions that the player makes during the game, the plot will progress in a specific direction.

The game is divided into two parts: "High School arc" and "After Story". Initially, the High School arc is the only one available, but once the player meets all the conditions in the High School arc, After Story is made accessible. The goal in both arcs is to find "Orbs of Light". These are usually awarded after Tomoya helps out a character within the story and understands their backstory, which is usually (though not always) a result of finishing their scenarios.

Stage 1: High School Arc
The High School arc contains the final year of high school of the main protagonist, Tomoya Okazaki, in which he meets all of the characters in the game.
There are 11 routes in the High School arc that the player will have the chance to experience. You can obtain 8 Light Orbs in this arc; one of the lights may disappear in Komura's route, but will regain in After Story.

Stage 2: After Story
After Story is the continuation of Nagisa's scenario in the High School arc, and details Tomoya and Nagisa's life after they graduate from school.
To enter the After Story, you need to meet all the conditions in the High School arc to unlock it; you must have obtained a total of 8 Light Orbs (7 if you lose one) and have finished the Nagisa and Fúko routes. Once you have finished those, the "After Story" option will appear on the title screen.
There are 3 endings and 5 Light Orbs to collect (you will also regain 1 Light Orb if you lost one in Komura's route), which will allow you to progress further into After Story.

The first light orb
Obtain a light orb
Throughout the game, depending on your decisions, you may earn an Orb of Light. These are usually awarded after Tomoya helps out a character within the story and understands their backstory. This achievement will unlock after you earn your first Light Orb (an unskippable cutscene of an open palm with a Light Orb floating down will play).
Illusionary World
Obtain all light orbs
Throughout the game, depending on your decisions, you may earn an Orb of Light. These are usually awarded after Tomoya helps out a character within the story and understands their backstory. Every time you obtain a Light Orb, an unskippable cutscene of an open palm with a Light Orb floating down will play.

If you are ever unsure of how many Light Orbs you have, then on the title screen, count how many blue lights are to the left of the tree. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which Light Orbs you are missing. The Light Orb cutscene will not play if you have already gotten that specific one.

There are thirteen Light Orbs in total. Do note that you may lose one during Toshio Koumura's route, but will regain it in After Story. If you lose a Light Orb in Koumura's route, that will not affect your progress for unlocking After Story. The following is a list of all the Light Orbs in the game and which route to follow.

  2. Yukine's Ending

Also note that you can get the "Tomoyo, Weapon of Mass Destruction" achievement during Tomoyo’s route. However, you will first need to complete Toshio Koumura's route so I recommend you to stick with the original order and play Koumura’s scenario afterwards. You can get this achievement very fast later as playing through Tomoyo's scenario will allow you to skip the reading parts. Refer to "Tomoyo, Weapon of Mass Destruction" for a guide.

Complete Sunohara's ending
This is technically a bad end, that's why there's no credit scene after Sunohara's route. The main goal is to dissapoint as many girls as possible and it gets really hilarious near the end. This achievement will unlock after the last dialogue before you move to the menu.

Start a new game and select the following choices:
Note that all of the choices that are written down below are necessary and all of the other choices that are not written down below are irrelevant.

Thank You For Reading
Thank you for your attention if you managed to read this. If you believe I've missed something or I should change something, leave a comment!

Also the reason why I write "Fúko" is because Steam somehow tends to censor her name therefore I decided to write it differently.

There's a choice late in Kappei's route that gives a Bad End, it takes you back to the main menu

Yukine's route takes a surprising amount of time considering she's not one of the core 5

if you want, i can either write down all the choices i made in the game here or if your fine with a friends request; i can write you a pm and send it to you with all my choices. i still dont have those options and i did just run through it again too just to double check as well. just let me know if you want them or not. im not too fussy. :)
