Introduction

This is a Ranger that uses a bow to keep his enemies at a distance. If you want to be a spear Ranger this is not for you. In the beginning you won't have all the skills required and all the items needed so you will have to use the "scraps" until you get near level 40. That is when you will be able to use better loot.
If you truly want to be an unstoppable ranger you will have to get somewhere near level 50. Rings and amulets can be exchanged but I found that the ones you are about to see work the best.

First I will show you my Ranger, currently in Epic difficulty. Note that I have my buffs on.

Skills

HUNTING
Hunting with items

Hunting without items

NATURE
Nature with items

Nature without items

Attribute points

I suggest going by 1:2 ratio of strength and dexterity: for example - 300 strength and 600 dexterity.

Tips

Skills that you DO NOT need are: Ensnare,Takedown and Monster Lure(Hunting); Briar Ward(Nature).
You can use those skills if you have spare skill points but they are mostly useless, especially Takedown since you are using a bow.
Skills that you can CONSIDER using are: Maul(Hunting); Plague, Sylvan Nymph and Refresh (Nature).
I suggest getting plague in the late game since Study Prey will be your #1 debuff.
Sylvan Nymph can also be good later in the game when combined with wolves.
Refresh is not a must have skill but it can be helpful for reseting your Call of the Hunt cooldown.
One point in Maul is enough because it doesn't do a lot of damage.

As you can see, items are VERY important for this build. Without the items you can't have all the skills you need.

Rest of the skills are pretty much necessary.

And why not the bow of Hercules? Yes, there is no plus 2 to hunting skills, but the dps is many times higher

I am really interested in your build, my brigand seems to be powered out in legendary. I hope there is a way to see your screen shots, too small for me to see. Thanks for your help

Nice format. I really like having the screenshots of all your items and skills, it's really helpful. One question, though...why are you putting at least 1 point into nearly every single skill in both Hunting and Nature? Certainly you're not using all those, especially stuff like the lure. Those points would probably be better spent in more important places, like raising your main attack skill.
