Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

His whole life led to this. Ever since the RECRUIT was a little boy he always wanted to be a soldier. He looked up to the people who fought to keep him and his family safe and he always wanted to fight alongside them. His parents, of course, were not fond of it and discouraged him. The young recruit knew the risks. He knew deep in his heart what he wanted to do, every night and day, he would practice with BB guns with his younger brother, "Bang! You're dead" The recruit said, with the BB gun with the orange tip removed. The younger brother cried, ran to his mother and the recruit sulked in his room for the rest of the day.

As a teenager, the recruit never did well in school. He was more interested in training for the future, and every day after school he would head off to the paintball fields. He succeeded in almost every match, dashing through the field paintballing one by one. After a while, the recruit knew his true purpose. He wanted to defend his country.

Just after finishing school, the recruit told his parents what he wanted to do. They cried, but they knew they couldn't stop the recruit. He packed his bags, his BB gun, his orange tip, and went to the train stop in which he would be picked up for training.

Every day the recruit worked hard, training and training in the army camp, wanting to become only the best of the best. He never had many friends, too busy with his passion to worry about such things. After years of bone breaking training and numerous ranks, the recruit was ready for his first field deployment. After saying goodbyes to his crying parents over the phone, the Recruit left, into the brief room. He was informed what he was to do. He was to be deployed onto a hostage situation, with heavily trained terroists guarding a hostage. The recruit immediately grew anxious. But he knew that he was ready, with the years and years of training that are ready to pay off. After a an hour or two of further briefing and precautions, the Recruit and his other teammates proceeded onto the helipad. The propellers roared and echoed over the huge field that was allocated for the helicopter, the recruit hopped on with the other soldiers.

Hours later, What seemed like minutes, they were at their destination. A small house. Ropes dangled down from the helicopter, and one by one each soldier descended. The recruit was last. He was beginning to have second thoughts, but he quickly detached from them. Slowly, he slipped down the long rope, and before long his feet plopped down onto the soft but tough soil. The entrance to the house was but meters in front of him. "Why are we being deployed so close?" He thought, but his teammate quickly gave him orders. He was to go in first, with cover from behind. His heart suddenly dropped. With great caution, he walked up to the wooden barricade, quietly as he possibly could, broke it down with his bare fists. Raising his weapon, he scanned
