My brother bought this game for me as a gift. When I first got it I thought it was a pretty fun game to kill time with a good gameplay loop. My issues with the game started when they started nerfing weapons despite the fact that the community agreed that most weapons in the game were far too weak. The devs had a pretty poor response to the criticism and basically doubled down on their balancing philosophy. Every patch the devs implemented caused worse performance and more crashes. Now they're trying to force Playstation accounts down everyone's throats despite the fact their is no technical need for a PSN account.

Don't let the redditors fool you the devs on this game are pretty bad and this game has a lot of problems during it's lifespan which people have chosen to overlook.

I really enjoyed playing the game and using the voice chat system. I read all of the SJW stuff they had in the disclaimer for using the voice chat. I talked trash when people killed me or used unbalanced guns and told them how I felt. I guess the moderators found what I said in voice chat to be too offensive for their online daycare so I was banned from the game for two days.

I've enjoyed the game but being banned for hurting people's feelings is absurd and goes against what online gaming has been for the bast 30 years. To the moderators who banned me get a life.

I have played Garry's Mod for over 4.4k hours. This game has given me good and bad times and has always been a game I could come back and play. This game can give you hours on top of hours of play time. Just from messing around in single player to enjoying a round of TTT. This game offers roleplay giving you fun ways to kill time. Being a Nazi on 1942 RP and fighting the resistance or being the resistance and over throwing the reich. To riding around as a cop or being a hobo. Gmod is a game that has been around since 03 and has been able to keep a steady player base unlike some games from the past few years. The game has it's problems such as crashing on really low end computers but most problems are user error. Installing to many mods causing the game to crash and taking up disk space. When your playing your having so much fun that time just seems to fly. A thriving multiplayer community with a single player that relies on you being creative the game can last someone years before they stop playing it. Making it a very good first steam game and good steam game for people with low end computers.
