Final Fantasy XVI: A great tale of a character's journey.

But I do like to judge it in 2 different fronts: Story-wise and Gameplay-wise.

First, and most importantly, Story-wise. I say Story is the most important because it's the major point in the game, and what will make you want to finish the game besides some shortcommings.
It's great, but it's selfish.

What do I mean by this? It's an absurdly great and epic tale of a character Journey. And I mean a single character: Clive.
The game focus heavily on Clive, and Clive alone.
Are there other nice characters? Yeah.
Are there some nice moments with them? Yes.

But due to the game's lack of a party system, you don't feel that typical party connection you feel with other Final fantasy games. You don't feel attached to many other characters besides Clive and maybe one or another. Mostly because not only you don't play with them, but they can also constantly leave and join your "party" depending on where you are in the story.

This makes you focus on your attention mostly on Clive. But I'll say it, Clive more than compensates for that. It's an amazing character with one of the best Final Fantasy journeys I've played.

Now, gameplay-wise. I'll be far more critical.
It's fun... for a couple hours.

But the gameplay loop can become really repetitive, due to how simplistic the combat is.
In a Nutshell, you mash Square+Triangle+Square+Triangle+Square+Triangle+.... and ocasionally use eikon skills and dodge atacks. That's literally it.

It's ok. It's quite satisfactory for the first hours, but the gameplay loop can become quite tedious after a while, especially because it's a really long game.
Mostly because the Eikon skills are "boring".
The biggest difference lies in the basic skill: one has a dodge, one has a block, one has a grab...
But the combat skills are too samey. "Your Damage skill number 1, 2 and 3". The difference usually being if it focus on damage or stagger.

And the open world can be really empty and tedious. A vast and pretty map, with nothing but the same bugs, plants and wolfs you find all the time. The only difference is that you can ocasionally find a hunt-mark, a.k.a. boss battle, with a different enemy for a change. You gain nothing from exploring the world.

The only RPG aspect in the game is your level up system. And nothing more. There are no build paths, class system or anything like it. You are completly stuck with one kind of gameplay with no branches at all. Your itens are literally: Sword, belt and wrist. Do the itens give anything different? Defense and Health. Just pick the one with higher value and that's it.

I feel like the gameplay part of the game, although not bad per se, feels really repetitive and lackluster, and lacked some serious polishing.
It simply feels good *enough* for you to play 30/40 hours of it and finish the game.

So, do I recommend the game? Yeah. It is a nice game.
A amazing story with a "okayish" gameplay system. Honestly, I think this game deserved better.
But still, even though I might sound a bit negative, I did have fun and I did enjoy it.
But... don't pay full price. Wait maybe for a nice promo, or share the game with your steam-family friends.

The passion used to make this game is palpable
A HUGE plate of 90's anime vibes with lots of retrowave style art and BADASS moments!

All that for a really really really reasonable price. A game made with love.
Support the devs! They genuinally deserve it!

Amazing game, amazing community and amazing Devs.

Arrowhead Studios deserve the preaise for this fun game. Which is a shining light in this dark age of modern gaming.
Most people won't change their reviews after the review bomb due to the PSN Account link, but I wanted to at least give it my positive review, to help the devs get back on their feet after this huge bomb.

For more games like Heeldivers, and for more amazing Devs as Arrowhead.
Keep up the amazing work!

TL;DR: An amazing series, with fun and charismatic characters, interesting plot and a really immersive setting. Totally wortth getting on a sale, with over 60+ hours of gameplay for a really amazing price.

This game was something that got me off-guard. I had interest due to the theme of the game, and I bought it on sale. I wasn't prepared by the ammount of emotions to come.

The gameplay loop is fun, although can be quite repetitive. But honestly, I can't recommend this game enough. Please, give it a try, it will be worth it.

So, CMW was a game I was REALLY looking foward to. Let me explain why I was disapointed, as an EDF fan.

I played EDF with my friends a LOT, and when I saw a Mech game from the same company, I instantly got super excited because I thought we where going to play "EDF but with Robots".
When I saw the negative reviews, I though that it was just a bunch of people who never played EDF, and complained about the game look and gameplay.

But when I played it myself, I understood.

DON'T expect this game to be as polished as EDF. Yes, the same company, managed to make a game overall worse then their other games, even though some stuff could have been literally COPY/PASTED into this.
And why do I compare it to EDF so much? Because it's literally the same kind of game, from the SAME company.
What do I mean?
Lemme explain:

-The animations are super robotic, stiff, even for HUMAN characters. And I mean REALLY stiff, as if no effort was put into it.

-Map destruction is awfull. The buildings don't break parts and collapse like on EDF. Here they just receive damage, and when enough damage is received, they just enter through the ground. They don't have not even half of the same dynamic destruction EDF has. And for a mecha game, that is a REALLY turnoff.

-Enemies just "pop" when you defeat them. On EDF, they have sometimes partial destruction, and their bodies remain on the battlefield. Here, they sometimes lose an arm or something, and just disapear after an explosion when you defeat them. It's NOT the same level of satisfaction of when you kill something on EDF.

-Mouse control full of deadzones and awfull.

The point is, this game doesn't have the level of satisfaction that EDF has when you play it.
Even though EDF still looks kinda outdated, it feels smooth and fun to play. Everything that happens is really satisfying and exciting, while Mech Wars is just.... bland.
Yeah, you can make cursed and fun robots, but why does it metter if when you gotta play the game, it is just boring and bland?

It makes me really sad... no, actually, it makes me angry. Stuff that could've literally have been copy-pasted from other games, and they still managed to get it wrong.
I wonder if they can update it in the future. But right now, don't waste your money on it. Go buy EDF 5 or 4.1, which is way more fun to play.
Might go back to it if they get a 75% promo in the future. But right now, it's simply... dissapointing...

So, I am making a review already, because I saw many people posting negative reviews with like, 1/2 hours of gameplay and judging the game's combat, plot and stuff like that.

I am almost 10 hours into the game, and since I am having an amazing experience, I felt the urge to post something already to ease the thoughts of those who are thinking about buying it but are worried about the negative reviews.

So, here we go. First things first:

The combat IS fun. It's pretty fun to play, but most of the interesting stuff as parry, rage mode (you know, those typical modes in hack n' slash games where your char gets really overpowered for a moment and starts beating everything in ther path? That one), new kinds of weapons and moves... you get them a bit further in the game. So in just 1 or 2 hours, you won't be able to experience most part of the mechanics, and that is what I personally think it's a bit unfair. The parry mechanic is pretty fun! and can be used to melt enemy shields for maximum burst, or to increase your ATK Power, and the Dual Blade can transform into a staff with a different moves. Pretty nice!

The only thing I think I can complain about it, are the charged attacks, which take a bit too long for a fast paced combat, and you usually end up getting hit while wait for them to charge. And we could have a bit more unique moves for the weapons aswell. But that aside, I have no complaints about the combat.

The visuals are of course, amazing. The amazing mix between 2D/3D, and the beautiful cyberpunk/sci-fi asthetics makes the game lovely to just look at it!

The plot, well, I can't tell for sure since i haven't finished the game yet. As far as I see, it's pretty nice. It's not something so remarkable a la Deus Ex or Ghost in the Shell, but it's pretty interesting so far (I probably will update this once I finish the game). The main cast of characters are nice so far (Love you Ayane!), and the english voice acting kinda got me suprised with the quality (again, love you Ayane!)

I can say for sure I can recommend this game. It is fun, and if you enjoy the cyberpunk asthetic, this is gonna be a feast for your eyes. The combat is fun and the plot is interesting so far aswell.
I am not sure how much it costs in other countries, but here in Brazil the game is currently arround R$60,00 , which is fairly good compared to most games we pay R$300,00 on launch. But if you still want to wait for a future sale, it's good.

TL;DR: The game is good and fun. It might not be the huge groundbreaking content some people were hoping, but it was an amazing job, especially comming from an indie studio (people need to take this in consideration a bit more). It does not deserve this many negative reviews, especially from people who haven't played enough of the game to even taste most of the content it has to offer.

EDIT:
Finished the game. Honestly. It was a nice experience, and I don't regret buying the game!
So, about the plot:
The plot is fine, but it requires you to read a lot to understand some stuff behind the scenes and some backstory (Reminds me of FFXIII)), which can be a huge turn-off. I played Deus Ex Games, so I am used to reading emails, texts and stuff like that.

Trust me, the story has a LOT of room for continuation. Ann's journey obviously isn't over, and if you finish the game, you'll understand why.

It has its flaws but honestly... judging other people comments, I really thought it was going to be WAY worse than what I saw. It was actually intriguing and the world building is interesting (It DOES has a lot of inspiration from SCP stuff). I won't say it's the best plot I played on a Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk game, because it ISN'T. But it's not all bad, but it does require some polishing.

I do like to be positive about the game, and as someone who studies game development myself, I can see that the devs did make this with love. And it kinda hurts seeing such a hard backlash on a indie game. It' has flaws and it's not perfect, I won't make a blind eye to it. But it IS a solid experience and still worth playing. The cons that this game has does not overshadow the pros.

If you wish to wait for a sale yet, it's fine if you are not feeling like paying full price. But the game is solid and fun. I refuse to think of Anno as a bad game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Prypriat is an Open World, FPS and Survival Horror game that takes place around the Chernobyl zone.

Stalker is one of the classics: A hardcore FPS Survival game, with an immersive atmosphere. If what you desire is a dark and almost lonely place to explore, while you need to be carefull with your surroundings for monsters and other stalkers... trust me, you gonna love this.

The game Main Story goes for around 15/17 hours , but it can increase by about 5/6 hours if you do some side content.
The story is nice, but if you never played Shadow of Chernobyl before, you will feel a bit lost. But still, it can be a nice game to start if you are not sure if you will dedicate yourself to the stalker games, since it is the most well developed one (less bugs, and more functions for the player)

Some important points I'd like to add:
-Huge replayability with different choices you can make regarding factions and mission outcomes
-Different "builds" with different kinds of armor/weapons to use
-HUGE Modding community, with TONS of amazing content including graphic mods, gameplay mods and even entire new stalker games and experiences just with modding! Active even today!

Remember:
"There are no bugs, just the effects of the zone"

-Get Confy in your chair
-Grab something to drink and snaks
-Enjoy one of the best experiencies you could have when playing a game.

VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is a game focused around enjoying the story and the characters, while interacting with them by making Drinks.
And when it comes to characters, this game has plenty of them, and they are lovely! You for sure will find a favorite one that you will love a lot, and will enjoy hearing all kinds of stories they tell you.

This is a game for you to simply "enjoy" it. It's amusing, fun and quite relaxing. It sure puts you on a good mood!

A Really Fun game! If you Like Korra and hit-and-run games, you will surely love this one!
The only problems is that the game is really short (about 3 hours of gameplay :/ ), so I recomend you to buy it on a steamsale!
