As a Veteran souls player, I can safely say this was an incredibly enjoyable, albeit short, experience.

The game has incredibly satisfying combat and interesting gameplay elements, However the game lacks some aspects in story and level design that could make it truly great. My hope is that this was a Proof of Concept game for this studio, allowing them to show off what they can do with combat and atmosphere in a game. Hopefully with the success of Thymesia they'll be able to focus on an even bigger project, keeping and refining their fun combat and improving on story aspects, level design, and enemy variety.

TLDR, the game is short, but challenging enough to keep you engaged and enjoying it at all times if you enjoy From Software games. Definitely worth the price tag

For a beta there is a surprising amount of content. The difficulty is high but fair, so with proper planning and preparing you can take on most situations. The sunlight mechanic is honestly amazing even if it does hinder you, but I believe it adds to the experience. All in all this is an incredible Vampire sim. And I'm addicted to the castle creating. Not even Sims decorating is this good.
