I have been playing demolition derby games since Racing Destruction Set in 1985 on my Commodore 64. When I saw this game in early access, I jumped at the chance to contribute to the latest attempt at the genre and paid up. When I first played it, it was pretty rough, so I uninstalled it and awaited it coming out of Beta.

Now it has, it is everything I had hoped for. The controls are tight on the keyboard. It didn't take long to get a handle of it, feels pretty realistic and the computer opponents are challenging enough without being unbeatable (the game offers a lot of control over the AI supposedly, but I haven't changed anything so far). The damage affects the handling of the car and is part specific and looks great.

First race of the National Amateurs League, my door got stuck open in a collision, I then watched it get sandwiched between 2 cars and torn off. Nice. Parts and destructable scenery often scatter the track after a lap, adding to the carnage.
