The higher populated servers run very poorly with constant lag and rubber banding. The lower population servers are pointless to play on because with such a large map you will never find anyone. As of 0.5 the game is riddled with bugs and just generally less fun that many of the other "survival" games. Maybe wait to see if it ever makes it out of EA before spending the time or money.
