The word to describe GATE is, Simple.

GATE is a great VTT for any new or veteran GM looking to get into 3D depictions of their worlds and do more complex encounters, such as naval combat. It may not be flashy or have all the bells and whistles that some other VTTs have, but that's what I enjoy.

I can sit down for 30 mins, build an encounter, save the session. Then a week later, play it with all my friends with a single click.

Are there bugs? Yes.
Are there things that could be improved? Yes.

However, Banshee Cat is still working on the project diligently and responds to feedback frequently.

So you can play on Roll20, Foundry, or FG... But there is great power and fun in Simplicity.

I have had this game in my Library for some time since Buying and playing it over 5 years ago. Recently I got back in to the game just to see how far I could get and all the new additions to the game since I last played.

I was excited to see that you could now make your own Gaming Console nearing end game and they added MMO options to show the "Games as a Service" model.

However, there are still a number of issues with the games core mechanics that show its small scale compared to many other indie Tycoon titles.

1. Pacing
- Even on the slowest it seems that time is moving so fast you hardly get a feeling of the era you are making that game.
- Getting attached to any console other then PC in early or mid game seems pointless as they will be off the market within 10 to 20 mins

2. Research
- Research takes a lot of resources and even by the "end" of the game you won't have most the important things researched.
- After making a game you have the option to report on the game and your decision. However, you can not re-review these and many times that information is lost and does not add to help you continue make new games. There should always be something that assists you in making the same or like games in the future.
- Topics. There are a lot witch is good but they take forever to unlock and there are a lot of over lap.
examples: Aliens and UFOs, Horror and Werewolf

3. MMO upkeep
- It never stops growing! you will always lose money on an MMO. With an MMO you should be working on building the backend and the cost for that should start high and go down over time, with uptickes in population growth. But you should always be progressing out of the red. Here you are always in the read and need to continue developing expansions to see any income witch is dwarfed by upkeep.

With all that said this game is great and I hope one day there will be a sequels with even more thought into the systems a bit more.

THis is an amazing ly chill game, but does have its moments of difficulty that make everything worth the time put in.

I have played many survival game and I have to say that Conan Exiles has the most potential of all I have played. If this game can keep on track Conan Exiles can definitely change the Open World Survival genre by attracting a large number of the RP/PVP audience base. Unlike ARK or Rust there is a lot of back story that this game can and will use to further promote a healthy RP/PVP community.
Then there is the gameplay, in witch overall needs work. This is not to say that the gameplay is bad, in comparison to ARK and Rust, Conan Exiles is far more polished than either this early in the games early access life. However there are several core concepts that seem to be missing at this time, and it can make interacting with other players, leveling, or building very hard.

However, even with the current flaws and the minor bug in the game I find that the overall experience very enjoyable. Simple things such as making nudity a Client side only option would assist this game in attracting a large audience base. Also, unlocking Chest, Chairs, Doors, and other utility items will help promote the very strong RP/PVP feel that the game has created.
I would not recommend this game to all friends, but if you know anyone that likes medieval style games and RP then here is a game for them. As long as the developers continue to listen to their community and work hard to make the game for the players; I see no reason why this cannot be an amazing game!

Waited to get the game until the latest build, and it was well worth the wait. If you are thinking of buying this game, and you like Terraria in Space, get it now!
