Relaxing and fun. Never going to be No Man's Sky, and they don't want to be. A nice niche filler game to enjoy for long periods!

Just a beautiful way to waste some time.

NMS is "survival" only in the manner of having to gather items to progress your tech. Other than that, unless you try, there's not too much chance of dying.
Graphics are lovely, if a little dated, but do get repetitive after your 60th planet or so.
What little storyline there is, is a nice distraction if you want a bit of direction for a while.

What makes NMS shine though, is it's build system. Freighters, fleets, water bases and a land fortress allow you to only be limited by your imagination on what you want YOUR world to look like! And I love it!

If you're looking for depth of story, or true "drink brackish water and you'll die" survival, NMS is not the game for that. But if you're after some chill game play, stellar crafting and designing, or a great way to relax while you game, then welcome home!
