It is okay, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. End game is pretty boring, and mostly just watching the the terraforming percentages go up slowly, with a few of them you can't speed along at all (water, and waiting to get a seeding mission). So the game forces you to wait. On top of that, nothing special happens when you hit 100%.

Game doesn't launch on Proton (so no steam deck comparability either). The DLC cash grab in this game is obscene.

Game is buggy and the controls are wonky. It does run on Linux under Proton 9.03 however. If you can see past the bugs and accept that you will be restarting missions often, then the game is good.

Some of the game components being blocked as "DLC" is total bull, so it's getting a thumbs down for that.

Buggy tutorial, or missing info on goals. Really without a manual this game isn't playable. Bugs in the tutorial also don't bode well for a game.

Fun game... except you play as both a hero, and an epic kelpto and nobody seems to mind if you shoplift or steal stuff from their houses.

$8 for less than 2 hours of gameplay isn't good.

Sure, you could play for different endings, but there really should have been more substance to this game. I could buy movie that runs longer than this game does.

If it had 6 hours of gameplay, maybe. Until then, buy it when it goes up for sale for at 75% off.

This starcom follows a similar story from the original: Trapped in an unknown region and you're trying to get home except you never will, you'll get trapped. Crew advancement is capped, and limited. Honestly I think combat should have played a role in crew experience, but no.

It is an improvement over the original, but I never liked how the story ended with being trapped, so I'm giving it a thumbs down.

Updating review: This is now working in Proton/Linux

Fun game--which now works in Proton (if it doesn't work for you, remove any compatibility settings or extra command line options you added to try and force this game to work in the past).

Stardew Valley is a good alternative to this and is more stable. In fact, I prefer the automated sprinklers mechanic vs the "magic" in this game. Basically the two games are very similar, except Stardew Valley is more of a solo experience that can be shared, though I do prefer Stardew Valley's farming mechanics a bit more.

Interesting concept, but I can't recommend it. The concept of the came is to warm the planet up. All games are doomed to eventually freeze over due to resource exhaustion. Adding vines to the game was just annoying (after you cut down the vines, and dig out all the roots, they STILL grow back, making the whole effort pointless).

Visual programming is an interesting concept, but I've seen it applied better in other games.

Interesting concept. This is more an interactive-ish visual novel more than anything with an ongoing psych quiz as an ongoing theme.
