Game is visually astonishing. Elden Ring looks really bad when switching to Lords of the Fallen, LotF support natively wide screen, for Elden Ring it was too hard to implement -.-.
I had not issues with graphic at all, just downloaded fresh drivers and it was working great out of the box. In comparison I went back before LotF to Elden Ring that is kind of 2 years after release and I had to spent 1 hour to find how to fix flickering for good!

I've waited kind of month after premiere to start playing and faced no issues with performance nor game breaking bugs. I'm really amazed by the effort developers are still putting to polish the game.

I've felt in Elden Ring that if you go magic you just cheat as you are supposed to make perfect rolls to be playing "the only right way". In LotF this seems more balanced, I really like mixed melee/ranged builds - if I want I can go only melee, switch one/two hand in single combo or "cheat" with range only attacks.

You can roll, you can parry, you can fight ranged. If not Pieta encounter quite early I would say it's perfect souls-like entry game. Maybe they could introduce some kind of "easier mode" where bosses are optional and you can grind faster - then it would be ideal game both for souls-like masochists and occiasional players. Now it's still managable, but "learning the boss" frustration can be there ;).

The Umbral mechanics is not an addon, it's the way to be played. Hard enemy? Throw him from the cliff!
Well, kicking enemys into abyss is super nice and satisfying anyways :). Second live or faster farming at a cost - nice. Area can be reached in one realm, not in the other - great!

Wither damage - holy! It's so nice concept - high risk/high reward build (or grenades).

I've started to play without any guides and went accidencially into kind of end-game area skipping frozen biom that was expected (basing on the camp order) to be reached earlier. That was cool!
First I didn't like the "hand written" maps but then I've started to understand and enjoy it.

I'm finishing PvE and got invaded some times by PvP. I'm not rating PvP.
For me PvE is "different" than Elden Ring, it's not open world, it's more a main path with many routes that is OK. I've enjoyed The Last of Us that is super linear and A Plague Tale: Innocene that is also like a one-way. LotF allows you to skip massive areas of the game (and massive loot!) - so it can be medium-to-long game depending how extensively you are exploring on you own.
I would say that gameplay in Elden Ring is better/more extensive/bigger BUT the visuals/atmosphere in LotF is muuuch better. I feel LotF is combining a lot of great concepts in a nice way - having open world with some side quests that are trackable and not souls-like-i-have-no-idea-what-im-supposed-to-do (maybe in LotF 3?) would make it a better game than Elden Ring.

It's first game I've spent time in photo mode.
The views are worth full price of the game.

Go get it, don't listen to the haters. They gonna hate. You will have fun!

Ultrawide screen not working without unofficial fix? Screen flickering on newest drivers after kind-of 2 years of game launch?

I remember it was working after game launch, after going back into game and upgrading from 1060 to RTX 4090 I was shocked that it still looks ugly like 2015 game and worse genius developers claiming whatever about reason they cannot support widescreen.

I've spent kind of an hour to eliminate FLICKERING!! This is insane.

Come on, if I'm playing on PC I want PC features. Please get informed that consoles are NOT the only machines to play games. No FPS cap please. Ultrawide support please.

Very solid game.
Nice music and sounds. There is a plenty way to upgrade your equipment.
Do not play on easy difficulty, go to hard/hardest to feel the game potential.
Long shots satysfing - but you can go melee if you want too ;)
