I really like this game.

A lot of people are angry at what this game is. In essentials, they think it sacrificed too much and instead went with copying dark souls' mechanics, essentially removing too much of what "makes Darksiders Darksiders", but I don't see it that way.

In my oppinion, every Darksiders is a different take on the action genre. Darksiders 1 was a God-of-Way style spectacle fighter, with big enemies, bigger weapons, a hulk of a main character, (repetitive) executions galore!

Darksiders 2 was like a mix between the combat of DMC -fast weapon swapping, rich amount of different attacks and combos- with the platforming of Prince of Persia (wall-running acrobatic jumping etc).

Darksiders 3 is like Dark Souls, with it's slow pace, unforgiving difficulty, sudden increase in overall lore compared to the other two games, long linear maps that come back around, the focus of mastering the basics of combat to such a degree that you can survive any encounter you must cross to keep on your journey.

The fact that Darksiders 3 is similar in gameplay to an already established game franchise isn't a bad thing. Indeed, I think that the great part about Darksiders as a franchise, is how every game is so different from any other, and once Darksiders 4 rolls around, I'll be looking forward to how THQ will put their mark on another style of action game.

Oh and this game is awesome by the way, in case that wasn't clear enough.

If you've played Hand of Fate 1, this is like that but better in every way.

If you haven't played Hand of Fate 1, this game is really really good and worth the money it costs. I won't tell you anything you could find out just by looking at a video of the game. I'll just let you know it's really good.

A perfect game to spend a shameful amount of time on, or to just jump in for a quick 5-min sesh.
