When I heard Freddy was coming to DBD I was incredibly excited because having a killer who would have some (english) voice lines would add a lot of style and personality to the game. Imagine my disappointment when we got the edgy remake version who has no dialogue, no style and no personality.

So when Pinhead was announced I was cautiously optimistic, when I played him in the PTB and heard his voicelines for the first time I was beyond ecstatic. Here, finally, was what I had wanted with Freddy.

There wasn't many lines but it was enough that it actually felt like the character was behaving how they were portrayed in their films. These two aren't the silent stalkers like Jason or Myers, they behave in a specific way that should be represented in-game.

So I load up the game, purchase Pinhead, get into a match and suddenly there's no dialogue, either on teleport or on mori. "Surely a bug" I think, but no it happens over and over. I eventually see other people complaining about it as well and that it's under "Changes" instead of "Known Issues" implying that it is intentional. This is a shame, it really strips away a lot of what makes Pinhead Pinhead.

At least I can play Chatterer and have the teeth chattering noises. It's not much, but it adds that little bit of identity to a character that should be full of it. Just a shame it has to be purchased separately.

Please reconsider this change Behaviour, and beware any Hellraiser fans who were looking to have Pinhead have some dialogue. Currently this is not in game, will update if that changes.

No server filter, no performance or stability improvements since beta, no buy.

There's definitely a fun game in here, it looks good and when it actually works it plays good. I'd suggest waiting for a sale after the performance issues and frequent crashing has been addressed.

Inexplicably, the server filter has been removed since the beta. So you can no longer sort games by ping, or only show public games making it a hassle to find a game. Once you get in, expect frequent FPS hiccups and a crash or three.
