This is what you get when EA tries to mash together the most popular AAA series into a single game but combining them in such a way that is just infuriating to play through.

Never have I played a game that is so infuriating to play and attempt to finish. The parts which are good are the same as Far Cry 3 and 4, namely the gunplay, the movement and stealth mechanics; as well as the new companion system. The rest of the game is just an infuriating grind to try to finish. You progress through the story line with the same kinds of side quests in each region until you get enough points for the boss of the region to kidnap you. Money is harder to come by now for new weapons and vehicles to encourage in game microtransactions (in a full price game, yes) and instead of getting perk points by playing normally and leveling up you have to do achievements to get them, forcing you to go out of your way to do specific things just to get perk points.

TLDR: just play Far Cry 3 or 4 instead. You'll get most of the same gameplay but will be a far less frustrating experience.
