The game is in a good state vs where it was prior. Having new custom games and maps created by an active community has helped keep the game going. In my opinion, I think 343 is listening to feedback of the community, but there are still a variety of things that I think should change. SBMM is strict and there is rarely a chance to socialize with other players (outside of custom games). The sandbox could use some more weapons from previous Halo titles. Not everything needs to be in competitive play, expanding the sandbox would increase variety in custom games, or fiesta, etc. Overall, Halo Infinite is well worth a second chance for returning players, many new (and old) maps and modes in rotation.

I really liked this game before, I don't like the recent changes to the circle speed.

The Good
  • Fun to play in squads
  • Good variety of weapons
  • Crate drops are fun to go for but risky
  • Large maps with a variety of locations, and approaches
  • They finally added map selection!
The Bad
  • Others have likened it to "a running simulator" (after the most recent update I would have to agree)
  • Can be pretty repetitive but this is mitigated by choosing a variety of locations.
  • I very much dislike the lack of Map Selection... sometimes I just want to try again after a bad start but it sends me to the other map...
  • Updates cause annoying downtime WHEN I'm most likely to be playing in NA.
The Ugly
  • Blue-zone is now Broken, Way Too Fast in earlier rounds... I liked it a lot better before the update.
  • Hackers are still a problem

Free, Fun Gameplay, moderate variety of loadouts, and Good Graphics considering its an 8+ year old game.

The game is very atmosperic, dark and mysterious. The gameplay is reminiscent of Half-Life 2 but with it's own unique tools to use. The story is largly open to inference, and there are many hidden secrets along the way. Although the game may be short, it is a worth while experience. Definitely would recommend to any Half-Life fan.

PS: Good Game for Achievement Hunters, only 11 achievements needed for 100% !
