There is a rumor that if you’re traveling on a train in a private compartment all by yourself and close your eyes, you can summon a demon. Just chant, “I am a traveler and my baggage is very heavy,” five times and he will appear before you.
Born under a cursed moon and dying suddenly under mysterious circumstances, Noxy was cursed with the form of a demonic canine, half-fox and half-wolf. You’ll know him if you meet him, his fur is dark gray like stone, ebony black hair atop his brow, and his eyes burn like hellfire.
Normally confined in hell, forced to relive scattered moments in the period before his death without full memory of the incident, Noxy is sometimes summoned back to the mortal realm.
Sometimes through the ritual above or other times through intense emotional energy, Noxy is drawn to those who suffer turmoil. Through them, Noxy finds some degree of peace listening to them, helping them resolve their baggage, and even expressing himself intimately with them.
With each moment of freedom from hell, Noxy attempts to learn more about human suffering and to travel the lands of Earth once more, in an attempt to both find peace from his curse and to perhaps learn more about the events of his mysterious death.
With his wolven side expressing empathy and friendship with humanity, and his foxen side cleverly thinking rationally about solutions to their problems; he uses his powers to better those seeking his help.
Perhaps if enough humans are helped he can even escape his eternal punishment and find peace.
However, not all of those who seek his help appreciate his answers. His demonic appearance can scare those accidentally and sometimes his advice to help soothe mortal’s conflicts is not the advice people want to hear.
Go into this knowing that he will help you but be prepared for his advice to be unexpected and do not listen to those who have spoken ill of his intent, for he is a noble demon.
So next time you’re traveling alone on a train and need some company, remember what you’ve heard today.
