I've always played both killer and survivor about equally and don't really consider myself a main of either side or any particular character -- I'm not the type of person to one-trick, so I play all the killers to some extent (though some more than others), and I pick my survivor based on who I think thematically suits the build or playstyle I'm running at the time :P

I don't no-life the game the way I used to anymore -- I try to play fun and fair if I feel I have the room to, but since very few people pay others that same respect these days, I usually assume the opposition are going to be sweaty and/or boring unless proven otherwise. I am also not above adopting petty/spiteful gameplay against people I detect are specifically attempting to bully their opposition lol. That said, I rarely have the heart to focus on the objective against survivors and killers I feel are cute/memey or that I feel bad for, and as killer I'm a sucker for survivors bringing me gifts xD

Ultimately, I mostly play for fun. I'm usually looking to find creative ways to do my tome challenges if I can or otherwise just trying to get value out of gimmick builds, with intent to win often taking a backseat. If a killer's having a hard time when I'm playing survivor, I'm the type of survivor who's likely to stop doing gens to instead hunt totems, search chests, screw around and maybe even just watch other people get chased lol, just so both the killer and I can get more worth out of having been in the match. Similarly, if I'm in a position as killer to be nice to a survivor who I enjoyed playing against, I'll often take it :3
