In Suzerain you are handed the reins to a country in the midst of turmoil, not so unlike that of the fragile state of Turkey during the formation of their own Republic. You immediately set out a party platform filled with promises that you can't possibly understand.

Each promise is very simple. Will you embrace a free market? Which group of influence do you align yourself with? What will you invest in? Words are cheap when you don't know their cost.

As the train leaves the station and you're sworn in, you expect to have people try to win you over. Bribes, underhanded deals, subversion, anything you could expect will probably happen. But it will all happen continuously from your opponents and advisers. One disaster will occur after another, much like the issues that real developing countries face. You are not given a 'right' and 'wrong' choice because there are none. You are not a country with developed industries that is ready for war, you are head of a country gasping for breath after being plunged from one coup d'etat to the next. You'll find that this is more of a balancing act to keep enough people content with you long enough to either see your goals through or to neutralize your enemies.

So you've taken on debt, you've invested in long term projects that will show dividends in years. Schools all around the country have been built and your country is primed to escape this recession. You have all but won re-election. The state of emergency was lifted at the first opportunity in response to the public outcries. The reformers are certainly upset, but you've managed to win them over with your diplomacy. The Bludes are being integrated and their hostage situation ended with no spilt blood. Your methods are questioned but are ultimately followed to your knowledge. Something that should be in your mind is that people will not show their motivations on their sleeves. Certainly you are the one responsible for the choices that led to the knock on your door and the sound of jack boots rushing into your home, but how could you have prevented it? What didn't you see? How many times were you lied to and subverted. What broke the camel's back?

You will lose the game. To win you must be pragmatic with your situation as idealism and your personal ideology will offer no help.

This is an excellent demonstration of politics. You never have enough information, others motives are always a mystery, and you are continuously left at the whim of those who surround you. There is no escape; all you can hope to do is to keep your head above water long enough to see your term through.

Armed with nothing but intoxication and your dopamine receptors you find your party and ready up to the tune of technicolor auditory explosions punctuated with excited grunts and gleeful screams. Hopefully you've begun to paint your avatar in a pleasant hue. Before you've picked the secondary colour you're ripped from the customization menu and placed into an infantry formation comprised of variously coloured furries and undesirables. Your field of vision is occupied at once by the soft edges and idle animations that you should be used to by this point.

When the round begins the true nature of this software is quickly revealed to you. As you drunkenly wade forward among the the masses of your compatriots you begin to draw parallels between this experience and escaping from a crowded theatre after hearing the word "Fire!" shouted by a delinquent. Whats more is you learn that the mongrels flanking your every side share the character of that delinquent, who would so callously condemn women and children to be trampled under a crowd for their own amusement.

As you are tread over for the fifth time, you watch the mass of imps continue falling over your body towards the finish line. With resignation you pull your hands away from your keyboard and mouse as you watch the ratio in the upper right hand corner accelerate towards 1. You've already begun to lean back in your seat as your mind wanders over the comparable tragedies throughout human history. The Triangle shirtwaist factory fire, the Piedmont soldiers routing from Napoleons cavalry maneuvers, the below deck proles wrenching on the locked doors on board the sinking Titanic.

I am not certain at what the developers hope to accomplish with the contrast between the appearance of this game with its content, but I know that I cannot enjoy competing over who can trample over each other the quickest.

Do not get this game. It's good for an ios game on the go, but thats it. Terrible controls and no DLC support, just an all around bad PC port. Fish labs has also gone bankrupt, so I don't see any future support for this game what so ever.(not that there was any to start with)

If you don't already have this game, just get it already. It will steal many hours out of your life and make them mildly enjoyable.

Amazing open-world game. Best RPG that I've ever played.
