Tormented Souls is a mish-mash of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, adopting a fixed-perspective style third person gameplay and a handful of interesting puzzles as well as some scary enemies. It's centred heavily around survival, especially important since saving isn't something easy to do, using the save room style but with the added difficulty of having to find a tape to record your save - so it's important to be frugal here.

The game has a genuinely scary feel to it; although not in the traditional 'jumpscare' sense but more of the creepy mansion with foreboding music type. Although frustrating at times because you can get killed quickly if you're not careful around the monsters which means you inevitably end up having to backtrack, Tormented Souls is a brilliant, classic horror game which will appeal to many gamers fond of the genre.
