The story is not bad at all:
Game starts with Daniel and his wife in a car accident when he first meets Sam, a mysterious character which promises Daniel he will see his wife again if he kills Lucifer's 4 generals, stirring your curiosity from the first moment.

Pros:

•Music:
The catchy heavy metal gave me the energy to keep shooting those mf demons.
You don't have to worry about repetitive tracks, every level has its special theme song.

•Sfx:
Sfx makes atmosphere even more horror, from his breath, ost, and everything like in an old horror tale.

•Voice acting:
Voices fit the characters perfectly.

•Weapons:
Weapons are unique and they have 2 modes:

-Painkiller: it's the first weapon you start the adventure with, and it's just fun and cool when you slice the bodies of demons in tiny pieces.
-Stakegun: you feel unbeatable first time you get this weapon
And a bunch more weapons you will get to know when after trying out the game.

•Special ability: The ability unfortunately activates random, when you don't except it, the idea of click and kill with this special ability is cool af, but you get it when you don't actually want it.

•Details:
Let's talk about details now. You will get an erection from the sheer amount of details present in a 2004 game.
Sadge that some cool details are not used in nowadays' games.
Objects are breakable, dizziness when you get hit by an enemy, if you shoot anything made of metal it produces sparks, when a fight happens between you and enemies and you clear them out the blood runs down the walls (very satisfying), details are different in each level and you have to explore them all.

•Graphics: Nothing I can complain about here, I'm just down bad for the moon in this game. You will find something graphically cool in every level. Also, it's a 2004 game, don't expect too much from the graphics.

•Levels:
Every level comes with a huge amount of enemies, every level happens in a different place.
E.g: Hospital, Village, Cave, etc.

•Enemies:
Enemies are well designed with a gothic theme. They have 2 different attacks: they hit you from close range the same way they do from far away, and varies depending on the level you play.

•Effects:
This game does not dissapoint with its amazing effects: when you cut off demons, when you blow their asses up, dynamite explosions are so satisfying and cool even if they dont make any sense.

•Bosses:
Bosses are built different, their bizarreness and patterns were ahead of their time when this game came out. It will take a few tries to beat them and learn their abilities, weakpoints, patterns or how to deal any damage, how to dominate them. They also look frickin dangerous, but only 'look' because nothing can stop Daniel with his badass personality who's in a great conflict and would be able to butcher a pack of villains to find his beloved wife.

•Movement: just spam space lol


Let's take some time and talk about cons, because this game has some flaws like any other.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated the grenade's aoe, I wanted to make things easier when enemies have been preparing their dirty hands to get me in groups of 47838, but yea of course it doesn't allow me to blow up more than one enemy at a time, unfortunately.
Physics become annoying, you have to replay some parts of the game just for this sake, makes the game fun just in a small proportion.
I had trouble with ammo, it may be the fault of my inability to find it, but it is a thing to consider regardless. Anyway, we got in this game as the other old legendary ones, the cheat mechanic, and it's not a big panick, but I consider it as a flaw.
The number of weapons is not enough even with 2 modes per gun.. You have to play a lot to find them, to end up playing the same weapon over and over again without a weapon cycle, enemies that are weaker against a specific weapon.
Last but not least, many times due to the lack of waypoints you get lost and you just walk around for about 30 minutes to find where you need to go, last bad thing about this game is that the cutscenes are skippable on every button on keyboard, it does not allow you to do screenshots to share with your steam friends, you cannot prepare for the action because you may press a sensitive key and skip all of the presentation.
