Edit: I originally called this game mediocre and more of a generic horror game than a Resident Evil game, and while I still think the main story is poorly written and could have done so many things better, the DLC is phenomenal.

100% get this game + the DLC next time its on sale. Chris's Not A Hero mission and Uncle Joe's Punch Out were incredibly fun to play through, they felt like rewards for slogging through the main story. The DLC also comes w/ a blackjack mode, escape room, one-shot daughters story, nightmare survival mode, Jack's birthday, etc all for like $8

Base Game is a 7/10
The DLC makes the overall experience a 10/10

Pros:
Visually beautiful
Expanded Hospital and Sewer sections
Carlos redesign (his hair <3)
Nemesis first form design
Mikhail (the entire UBCS cast tbh)
Tyrell getting more screen time
Jill's ass

Cons:
Nemesis isn't aggressive enough
Removed sections from the original (Clock Tower, factory)
Very short (my first run was no box + no healing and I still beat it in ~3 hours)

RE2R was a nearly perfect game so people had high expectations for RE3R.
This is a good game, but falls a little flat in some areas. It's much more action heavy and scripted than RE2R and I think it suffers from that. I 100%'d it in 18 hours

Honestly the main issue is just Nemesis. The game treats him as a scripted way to ferry you between areas after finishing your goal instead of an omnipresent, persistent threat. If the game was a little longer and included the clock tower + a more aggressive Nemesis, I think it would be on the level of RE2R.

Buy on sale, amazing purchase at $20, not enough game to justify $40

this game is pure crack
I put 17 hours into it within 30 hours of owning it

amazing, beautiful, 10/10 game,
its fun, its gory, the characters and story are well written, the environments are gorgeous, the combat is fluid, the controls are good even on PC
I'd put it in my top 3 favorite game of the past decade right behind the Dead Space remake

however, terrible port, plagued with a memory leak and performance issues

I 100% recommend buying it but here's the checklist of what you need to do to fix everything
pixelated graphics - go to Settings -> Display -> DLSS -> Switch off Auto, set it as high as you're able to run; disable AMD FSR 2.0 if its on
memory leak - Increase Pagefile in your OS to at least ~12gb, google "God of War increase pagefile" or a guide for your OS
memory leak pt 2 - In-Game, swap textures down to minimum and back to your chosen setting every ~45 minutes to prevent the game from crashing from the memory leak

Fun game with lots of polish.
Lots of depth to what you can do: Charms, Crowns, POSITIONING, Lots of cool mechanics.
Difficult but not unfair.
Highly recommend if you liked the first part of Inscryption.

All the negative reviews seem like salty StS players that can't handle playing a game where cards have more than 1 number on them and positioning actually matters.

Dead Space 2023 = The Blueprint
INCREDIBLE SOUND DESIGN, Visually Gorgeous, Fluid Combat, Revamped Story

Everything that felt aged in the original was modernized in the remake
- ADS sections completely overhauled
- new Zero-G sections
- retouched story hits you harder in the feels
- new alternate ending and side missions that expand on the lore of the original

So much love was poured into this remake, I really hope its success revives Dead Space as a whole.

Now time to wait for RE:4 in March

The game can be taken casually if that's your style or you can spend 100+ hours to get that 112%
