Overall, I do recommend this game. But - not to everyone.

If you do not have a thick skin, or tend to take games too seriously, it will be absolutely aggravating to play this game, especially as Survivor.

Survivor mains escape about 10% of all their matches, especially at first. It takes forever to learn how to loop properly, how to hide away from the Killers. And too many Killers enjoy tunneling people out of the game, camp the hooked peeps, or even slug everyone right at the start to then have everyone die at once ( looking at you, wraith mains )

As for Killer players, the second you see more than one Flashlight in lobbies, expect it to be a bully squad. Survivors blinding you just for fun instead of using it for saving others or trying to escape you in chase, Toolbox users either rushing the gens or sabotaging your hooks, and then the teabagging at the exit gates. If you use lightborn to protect yourself against the many many flashlights, you get cussed out in the end game chat and called a coward. Though it is absolutely fair to use this perk, especially if you see more than two flashlights.

If these are things you can handle, if these are things you can take and just shrug it off and move on to the next game, it is a fun experience. I myself am a survivor main, and play "killers with personality" on occasion. I catch myself getting frustrated from time to time, but never to the point of genuinely tilting ( Though I developed a heavy dislike for Wraith, Knight and Chucky mains due to how they have a high tendency to tunnel/camp/slug immediately )

If you think " Yeah I am fine with this, its just a game " I can easily recommend it. DBD is an experience unlike any other multiplayer game of this kind. The fun events, the massive amount of both original and licensed characters to choose from, Nicholas Cage's voice lines ALONE make this game fun.

TL;DR: Recommended, to people who dont tilt easily, as the players can chose to be extremely toxic and frustrating on purpose both in game, and in the endgame chat.

PS: If you come across a Dredge with the Masquerade skin - try to do something cute or silly! Might be me, and if it is you will get away with only two hooks guarantee <3

This game is absolutely brilliant!
It is terrifying without having to rely on cheap jumpscares. There is only two things I hope will get fixed eventually and that would be the chances of dirty water appearing when its an objective, and the use of Crucifixes. Its almost impossible to get the Crucifix objective done at this moment because of the small radius they have and how precise you need to be when dropping it. If the room is big, you can basically forget it, especially because you only have two of them available at once.

Other than that, of course I know it's still early access so I dont see any reason to critique the amount of ghost types, ghost models and maps. I am certain that eventually enough types will be added to make all evidence combinations possible. Don't let the fact its early access hinder you from giving it a chance. I promise you this game will provide you genuine fear
