I used to love this game, but I can now no longer recommend it to anyone.

While the game used to be one of my all-time favourites, it's now being milked to death by Paradox with their endless DLCs that add very little of value to the game, and always come with a slew of game-breaking bugs that even affect people without the DLC.

There are several core functionalities that keep failing to work properly, and there are some fundamental design flaws that mean running a longer term prison is an absolute pain. Many of the worst features from the base game before Paradox ruined it have remained untouched, like the unintuitive patrol system and foundations system, and they keep on pushing new features that are unbalanced and just make the game worse to play.

Bugs keep reappearing - the "you must serve low quality low quantity food" event that charges you $5000 every 3 hours and never acknowledges that you've actually done what it asked for; the guards that never escort prisoners to perfectly valid cells; the prisoners that are meant to be in lockdown or solitary wandering around as if they were free; the prisoners that never shower when told to or in their free time and then riot because they're unclean... Not to mention the issues that only seem to arise because you don't own all the DLC, where certain things seem impossible to avoid or fix but *oh look* the latest DLC has something to do that.
It's a complete shambles, and the current developers don't seem interested in fixing anything unless it affects people who own all the DLC, which themselves are overpriced and hollow.

As much as I'd love to recommend this game, I absolutely can't in its current state. Introversion made an awful mistake selling out to Paradox, and it's really sad to see one of my favourite games decay like this.

One or two spelling mistakes I noticed, but overall it's a moderately entertaining game for the short time it actually lasts.
Jiggly mode makes for a good second playthrough I suppose?

As it is, it's a buggy, incomplete mess.
It has promise - if the developers had any ambition and spent any of the money they've been getting from this, Kinetic Void could become a great game. Sadly it isn't.

Cetainly improves the game, but the 4k textures mod is much better - it may be worth installing both this and that so you get a more complete coverage of HD textures, but if you don't have the disk space and RAM to spare it probably isn't worth downloading.
