A documentary crew follows two ex-mercenaries as they attend their final arms deal before retirement. When the deal goes horribly wrong, the ensuing violence is captured by the film crew and the contents of their tapes become completely unreleasable to the general public in any capacity - even if censored.

This is that footage.

While short, tedious, and full of technical flaws, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is undeniably a very original and creative game. It's a shame its full potential was never realized, and that many not only didn't appreciate its art direction, but actively shamed it for having "ugly effects" and a "shaky camera".

CD Projekt Red clearly bit off more than they could chew with this project and while they tried their best, it unfortunately wasn't enough at launch. Cyberpunk 2077 will always be a buggy mess, but the fundamental difference between the game then and the game now is the fun factor. With update 2.0 almost everything has been reworked to be more fun, and while some promises will forever go unfulfilled and we'll never get the game we were originally shown, if you pretend Cyberpunk 2077 with update 2.0 is a brand new, completely original game that has no relation to any games, trailers, or announcements you've seen before, it isn't just a good game - it's a great game.

But it's really only a great game if you have the double jump, which is why you need to get the double jump.

The story is great, the soundtrack is great, the combat is great, and the diversity between builds is great. Update 2.0 has done a lot to improve the variety and replayability of the game, and it's a shame that we had to wait this long for it.

All of this is in vain however if you don't get to experience the freedom the double jump gives you, which is why you need to get the double jump.

There are only a few things I can think of to complain about at this point that don't revolve around glitches. Vehicle physics are still pretty meh, reminding me of GTAIV but worse. Keanu Reeves isn't a very good voice actor, to be honest he's not a very good actor in general. The game's timeline is a bit odd as the main quest line is SUPPOSED to take place over a few days, but the side quests end up negatively impacting the sense of urgency the story is supposed to have.

These issues can easily be overlooked though due to the big smile on your face the double jump will give you, which is why you need to get the double jump.

A lot of sadness could have been prevented if the game had an extra year of development time and was never intended for 8th generation consoles. C'est la vie. But anyone who says Cyberpunk was always good must literally smoke crack.

Get the double jump.

Bigger isn't always better.

Fundamentally, DOOM (2016) had 4 different gameplay states - combat, exploration, platforming, and puzzles. These rarely combined and when they did combat always took center stage, everything else got simplified. DOOM (2016) was at heart a shooter. It was fast paced, frantic, and fun.

DOOM Eternal isn't a shooter. I mean, it obviously is, but it's more of a conventional action game with RPG elements rather than a "shooter" like DOOM (2016) was. They've tried to expand upon their predecessor by tacking on a bunch of new mechanics, but none of them feel natural and in my opinion makes the game feel very bloated and convoluted. Dashing is the only ability I felt was a natural progression of DOOM (2016), everything else left me scratching my head. Wall climbing? Pole swinging? Ice grenades? Blood punch? Shoulder mounted 1 second duration flame thrower? What?

DOOM Eternal's greatest sin is its skill tree, which bogs down the pacing of the game considerably. They took a fast paced shooter, praised for its great pacing and non-stop gameplay, and added a system where you pause the game and read text for several minutes until you find a perk you want and allocate points into it. It doesn't just kill the pacing, it gibs it. The skill tree fundamentally feels completely incompatible with the rest of actual game.

There is just constantly so much going on in DOOM Eternal that DOESN'T need to be going on. The game has no business being this convoluted, and I grew to really dislike DOOM Eternal despite loving DOOM (2016). It's a very different game compared to its predecessor.

If this wasn't a Half-Life game, the reviews would be much more negative.

Half-Life: Alyx really doesn't have much else going for it other than being visually beautiful and being a Half-Life game. The shooting isn't fun, the puzzles aren't fun, the interactions aren't fun, navigating the levels isn't fun. To be blunt, the game flat out isn't fun. It feels like a chore to play. The more I play, the less I want to play.

There's a whopping three weapons in the entire game. Three GUNS. No melee weapons, and physics objects don't deal damage. Ammo is scarce and your backpack only stores full magazines, which is very annoying. Even the weakest enemies in the game take 4-6 shots to kill (to the head), leaving you with the perfect amount of ammo to either have to reload in the middle of shooting the next enemy, or reload beforehand and lose valuable ammo.

If you're a huge fan of Half-Life or new to VR, you'll probably like this game. But if you aren't either, it'll likely just disappoint you. It's painfully mediocre, which is unacceptable coming from a company like Valve. I technically got this game for free with the purchase of my Valve Index, but if I had paid the price they're asking for it... yeah, I wouldn't be happy.

Completing the game (for me) took eight hours. I died repeatedly, searched endlessly for ammo and resin, and even replayed an entire level so I could purchase a different upgrade. I reckon anyone could beat this game casually in six or seven hours. I'm not upset with the length, but people (like Geoff Keighley) claiming the game is 15 hours long is just ridiculous.

BONEWORKS is the Super Mario 64 of VR. It's not a platformer (well, maybe a little), but it's pioneering, innovating, and nearly perfecting a medium that many struggled to get right.

This is now the gold standard for VR gaming. Anything that doesn't match up will be left behind.

What I once considered an "unplayable" game has slowly become the best multiplayer VR shooter currently available. Not only is the base game content excellent, but the sheer amount of high quality mods (and the simplicity of installing them) makes this $20 purchase a no brainer. Hell, if it was $60 it'd still be worth it. The development tools give creators an insane amount of freedom which results in an endless amount of genuinely valuable content such as custom maps, weapons, and modes.

None of it's competitors come close. If you like shooters, this is a must buy. Period.

This is just a Job Simulator type game with a SPOOOOOOKY twist. If you're expecting actual gameplay of any kind, look elsewhere. All you do in this game is stand still and interact with physics based objects as TOTALLY WACKY CHARACTERS talk to you non-stop. Hilarious!

It's about as much fun as a phone call. Yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap yap.

This is the kind of game that makes you think "what the hell am I playing" or "why the hell am I playing", but if you like the concept of Hypnospace Outlaw then you'll be glad you experienced it. I can't promise you'll enjoy every minute of it, but being a moderator on Hypnospace isn't all fun and games. But I'm positive you'll look back upon your enforcer days fondly.

Only three things every player should know going in.
1. It's perfectly okay to skim through pages. The story will guide you to the best ones.
2. If you get stuck, try searching for hints in-game. Who knows what you'll find?
3. The story isn't over until the credits roll, but that's not at 100% completion.
