Good variety of game modes, cool weapon level system, campaign is beautiful (graphic-wise) but the story is pretty mediocre.

Pros:

Competitive Game-play
Good Variety of Game Modes (Warzone, DMZ, Ground War, Tier 1, Shoot House)
Nice weapon leveling system (You can level weapons to unlock attachments and more weapons)
Characters and skins (for multiplayer)
Challenges (Daily Challenges, Camo/Weapon Challenges, Emblem Challenges, etc)
Good FPS learning curve (You can tune your weapons)
Not Pay To Win (You may be able to buy custom gun presets, but these can be recreated for free for the most part)
Beginner-Friendly tools (Community can help, on-screen interface tips that guide you to learn)
Advanced AI (Coop and DMZ are very fun game modes especially when you are with a friend or friends.) (AI
can prove to be quite challenging if you don't coordinate with your mates)
Mute All Button (A lot of individuals will have open mic garbage cans for your entertainment)

Cons:
Multi-transactions (Cosmetic Only)
Community can be toxic (Competitive pvp)
Game has a few bugs (I've only seen them in Single Player Campaign) (Crashes affected a lot of people)

Overall this game proves to be a good time killer, if compared to previous games from the franchise, it visually appears to be a lot better, the combat feels smoother/realistic, and the community seems better (probably because of the ToS they force you to sign)

4/5 Stars ****

Extended stuff --
Just like any other competitive game out there on the market, follows a toxic community. Don't be surprised to meet some people with questionable ethics, or some people who shouldn't even be allowed on the game due to their anger issues. Not every one is like this in the community and I've met some friendly people along the way of my DMZ adventures and Competitive Multiplayer experience.

So far the game has a season that lasts roughly two months, where you have the option purchase the battle pass for $20 for extra cosmetics and weapon presets. Is the battle pass worth it? Depends if you want people to view you as a person who broke to the scheme of micro-transactions.

Game-play mechanics are pretty similar to every other FPS from the Call of Duty franchise. The graphics are beautiful in Coop and story mode. The story is pretty much what you would expect from a Call of Duty game. Operating vehicles are not challenging, and can be quite fun in Ground War. (large map with a lot of players) Kill-streaks are the same for the most part.

Weapons have a leveling system and a challenge system to progress each set of weapons to unlock weapon skins and other rewards. (Exp boosts, Weapon Exp boosts) It's designed well in my opinion.

This game has really grown since it's initial release. It has an excellent story line with a lot of symbolism. There are a lot of side content to do along with plenty of easter eggs. If you like this genre of game, it is definitely worth it. I'd buy it when it goes on sale though.

This game was pretty fun, the nightmares after playing it weren't so fun. I love the story and the art style.

This game is very fun if you are interested in a Classic Medieval War Game. In single player, you get to control an army and can decide what you do with your destiny. You may choose from a backstory and apply stats like a DnD character. You start at level one and have the ability to obtain companions as you progress through the world. A lot of specific scenarios and choices can be made as well as a lot of strategy to win certain fights depending on what your difficulty is set at. In Multiplayer, you can test your skill against enemy players while working alone or with a team. The community on this game can act from toxic to very honest. There are clans that you can join via discord or other websites that will help train you to further your education of the game. It's up to you on how you want to act, or what you want to do. There are different modules of this game that have been released as DLC and there are mods available from the steam workshop or from various websites. The modules that the game offers are very worth in my opinion due to the fact it offers more to the game. Napoleonic wars have a lot of chaos in multiplayer, while Viking Conquest has a lot more to offer in single player. Native is a good module itself. The multiplayer side of this game is hosted by dedicated servers from the community and some from the Warband developers. I highly recommend this game and it has been one of my top favorites ever since I bought it many years ago.

Viking Conquest is an updated "reforged" model for M&B Warband. This version of Warband allows you to roleplay as more stuff in your single player campaign. For example, you can spread the word of Christ, or you could follow the old gods such as Thor and Odin. You can be a trader and become very rich by doing so. You can control a shield wall of men and charge into battle shouting your battle cry to make your men fight faster and stronger. You can work on a farm, mine, or lumbermill for the rest of your days. This is just a few of many choices that you can make as a person who lived in this brutal time.

Pros
-Graphics are more appealing and player models look more realistic
-Fighting is a bit different than native Warband. "More weapons, you are able to shield bash, bow and arrow seem to shoot differently"
-More gore / decapitating your enemy
-More factions and troop types
-The factions are an accurate reflection of the time period and the map is also geographically correct.
-Dogs
-Sea Battles
-Religion
-Be good or evil
-Learn to read and can have traits "battle cry, bang on shields" also poems that are real
-Mystical items "not too mystical, it is still realistic"
-There is a real storyline that you are able to follow
-Character customization offers more options "Appearance and traits"
-If you can run Warband, you can run this version

Cons
-You are able to open a cheat menu whenever and spoil the fun
-Multiplayer is dead as in there are hardly anyone ever playing it
-Still a few bugs that need to be patched

The reason that the reviews for this DLC are mixed is that it was released with a ton of bugs. This version of Warband was unplayable when it was first released. All of the major bugs are now patched and Viking Conquest is definitely now playable.

10/10 would slay Piety again. Here is a summary of my thoughts.

Pros
1. You can kill squids with a spree of fireballs.
2. You can feel overpowered in PvP.
3. You can build your character freely.
4. Very fun to play with friends
5. You can have a Hideout. ( It is like a clubhouse in clubpenguin )
6. The community is like World of Warcraft trade chat.
7. Stays fun even when you have to redo everything.
8. Get a hot chick when you beat the first campaign.

Cons
1. Gear looks the same as you level.
2. The servers tend to lag here and there.
3. Can be a very squishy, low damage, warrior if you do not build correctly.
4. Sucks to play alone. ( unless you're into that stuff )
5. Templars look like giant pedophiles early game. ( could be a pro if you like that )
6. There is these tentacle woman, who are topless, that shoot ♥♥♥♥ at you like Rambo. ( can be a pro too )

--Overall, I feel like the game is well-made and is worth being donated to. The developers update it constantly and they try to make it as fun as possible. There is MUCH more content, I just want you to click download and explore it yourself. YOU WILL LOVE IT. Even if you have a ♥♥♥♥ computer. Well, I wouldn't recommend it to people with bad internet and a trashcan computer. Hit me up if you want to play. Shrubsensei all the way!
